Happy with the performance tonight we defended solidly and played good basic rugby. was a bit worried early on as hull were the team making the early yards and were defending solidly. we seemed to force too many plays but that soon changed and we came to the forfront in last 20 and carried that forward into second half and killed the game off in first quater

However we need to improve in attack to progress we were not as dangerous looking on the ball at times and that could be our downfall against saints, but we did enough tonight special mention to myler ratchford briers chilly played well tonight as did the rest of team trent was workmanlike as usual and with westwood and carvell to come back in i think that we should improve quite a bit for next week

Can't believe you don't rate Waterhouse more highly tonight. He was absolutely immense.

sorry guys maybe bit of misunderstanding i thought trent was good tonight and has been most of the season my workman like referance was not ment as a disparaging comment more that he did his job, tho will need more dummy runs ala CC final next week if we are to progress.

Also think we need to hit the wings more as atkins monas and rileys main contributions were taking the ball in giving our pack a breather, which they did well but they r our strike force and under utilised tonight

Thought we did a professional job. Few penalties, few handling errors. Still kept the ball alive well at times by only when a safe option. They got nowhere near our line for nearly 65 minutes. We defended well.

Funny how everyone else reacted like we'd gone out last week with countless laughing heads, thumbs ups and the word "bottlers" thrown about. Yet we're now in the same position as we would have been had we won last week; Grand Final Eliminator. We needed to win three games to lift the trophy at the start of the Play-off series and we did this morning. Now it's two.

I thought we lacked intensity and speed, we wern't bouncing off the floor like we have done for most of the season. Apart from Trent Waterhouse the pack lacked any real go forward, were certainly missing Carvell and Westwood. We got through which is all that matters but were really going to have to step it up at some point in these play offs especially if that same saints team turns up that did against us last week.

Scoreline didn't reflect your dominance IMO.

Good solid performance...no frills territorial Rugby. Looked solid defending and showed a few glimpses in attack. At full strength we'll go to Wigan or Saints and win.

Don't think we're as fluent as we were last year but I'm confident of a grand final win

Hopefully Westwood & Carvell will be back and Wood and McCarthy will be ok for next week, with those back and a bit more momentum in attack we needn't worry about who we play.

Thought we did a v.good job on a decent team for most of the game and 24-6 would probably have been a fair reflection.

Ratchford's try was a beaut, he's a great broken field runner and Myler had a cracker. Trent Waterhouse ran himself into the ground and carried the pack for long spells - MOM by a mile.

Wood has been poor/so so all season., Hill's shown him how to play in first season in PnB. Carvell and Westwood are key to our pack. Morley looked done in tonight for some reason. Thank god for Harrison and Waterhouse.

I thought we played ok in some parts,if we play like that against the big clubs we can expect a beating.

We didn't seem to click in the final third like we have been doing,the kicking game was spot one.Kept Hull on back foot and turning them around.

Room for improvement, saying that after last weeks beating by saints it couldn't have got any worse.

I though our defence was very good, yours excellent.

I said on another thread that the packs where on par, but your backs and especially halfbacks were better than ours, unfortunately this proved correct as you just had a bit too much pace and skill for us, on top of your much better Kicking game.

Hopefully with new halfbacks and the young players coming through we can kick on again next year.

Hull will be a threat next season for sure. Great set of signings.

I hope and think you will. Top four for Hull next season and a refreshing change to the usual (same for when we joined the elite). I like Hull. Good fans, good stadium, good club overall. Potential to be big and successful.

I think we suffered from the lack of arm wrestles last season, when we were challenged we had no response, this year we have been pushed for 2 weekjs prior to the semi final.

yeah pritty much agree with all posts we did enough to get the job done with a bit left in the tank and a real confidance boost going into next weeks game we improved throughout the game.

just hope that the improvement continues into next week and we get our attack going.
