I thought the atmosphere was very flat for most of the game compared to previous years.

Its always a good atmosphere in our end at Wigan but was better in previous years. Think only time i heard Wigan sing was when the usual Wigan Wigan Wigan came out when they had us trapped on our goal line.

I par around £71 a month for my sky tv package, I pay for HD the whole shabang. I need to get on the phone to them today as their sound is obviously knackered as I didn't hear a peep on TV. Just seem to wave a lot of flags like the scouts on walking day.

At Wigan - Wire games it's usually the away support that generates the top atmosphere. Its the same at Wigan/Saints games too.

But last night I was amazed how muted your support was. You came to life with 2 minutes to go and the predictable barmy army.

I can understand why our fans weren't as noisy as usual. When you go to the JJB and you see all its pretty flags, you can't help but be in awe of the originality. 2012 and their stadium looks like Greenwood crescent on a jubilee/world cup year, it's the stuff all other sporting institutions aspire to. Now, if they could get those "f*ck off ref" chants in sync, they'd have an atmosphere as intimidating as La Bombonera!
