Ferriol is banned purely for statistical reasons, they feel they need to 'do' someone and maintain certain percentages in terms of citings, charges and bans.

As big as the last time they played wigan at the same stage of the playoffs in 2008. I would say it's also about as big as a certain Challenge Cup semi final they played the year before. But surely the biggest game in their short history would be the Challenge Cup final the same year.

you should count yourselves lucky carvell got off without a ban when nearly de-capitating will sharp a couple of weeks ago, any other team than wire, wigan and leeds he would've got a 1 game ban atleast

Ferriol is banned because hes been warned about using knees a couple of times already , if anything the rfl would want there beloved "development area" Catalan to progress to the grand final , i imagine if this happened there would be a fair amount of backslapping .

did cats appeal over ferriols ban,leeds did with bailey or did they think whats the point it wont get lifted cos cats are playing wigan..it does seem all decisions regarding discipline are favouring wigan again..

I don't understand how Ferriol is banned for 1 game for making contact with an opponent with his knee using a poor technique yet STomkins didn't get anything for making contact with an opponent with his foot using a poor technique. Even Bailey did the same thing as Ferriol, he's got a horrendous track record and comes away with a fine. It does seem a bit coincidental towards Wigan at times...
FWIW none of the above deserved bans IMO.
