Fantastic player. Plays hooker the way it should be played. Intelligent, deceptively quick, brilliant distribution, solid defender.

Remember shortly after he joined he said it would take a couple of years to sort the defence out? Was right about that as well.....quality player!

I wouldn't be shocked if he nicked MOS

he really does have an aura about him with ball in hand... such a creative and intelligent player.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if he won MOS.... In the majority of our big games this season he has been head and shoulders above all the other players on the pitch.

Wigan had no idea what he was going to do on Sunday, and they were scared to death of him when he ran with ball in hand. Rightly so too.

So far he is the Wire rlfans unofficial leading player in mom polls.

To be expected, up there with Roby as main contenders for MOS in my opinion. Week in week out they tear it up.

Wonderful player. Wigan backed off him on Sunday, similar to the way Leeds did at Headingley. If Monas is allowed to continually run out of dummy half he will take apart any defence in SL.

Best hooker we have had in my time supporting the club...possibly the best hooker we have had ever. Older fans will need to input on that.

He is the best i have seen in my time. Even better than Duane Mann and i never thought i'd see the day when i made a statement like that.

Had a few in my time, Ashcroft, Dalgreen, Miller, Mann and Farrar were probably the best of them imo.

Truth if ever needed that RL is a rollercoaster sport.

His first few games, he won MoM's (at scrum-half), yet then, his form went lower than a snake's belly.
It's amazing what playing at your best postition, under a top drawer coach can do for your game.

Can he win the MoS, yes......I'd prefer him to win the Harry Sunderland trophy, though!

Matt king is one of the best imports I can think of.

I feel it is no conincidence that we have become very good when king and monas came good again + the inclsion of the best coach in SL!
