totally unexpected, not even a murmur of it on these forums from what i have seen. saints fans seemed to think he was all theres. never seen him play, never recall us signing a lower league player in my time anyway, but smith must see something in him so look forward to seeing him in the primrose and blue.

Saints fans didn't think he was all ours. We were rumoured to be interested, but it was never more than that.

He's a fine prospect in the mould of a James Graham apparently. With full time training he'll bulk up (He's a bit sparrow framed at the moment). He'll be a fine SL prop in a couple of years IMO.

Know him well used to work with him at a Gym in Hindley, hes a decent lad prone to the odd error and penalty but if you can wipe that out of his game he will be a good solid prop for you, bit like Paul Prescott at Wigan.

It has been rumoured for around 12 months, he looks quite a handy player. Good luck to him.

Good signing.. Impressed everytime i've seen him play, young too but could this mean Harrison would stay on second row rather moving to prop if Louis leaves? Or, could he be a replacement for moz if the rumours are true.

I dont think Paul is very good, him or Eammon, Chris Hill will be a much better player.

Future England prop, no doubt about it. He's got it all, great hands, great defence, will run the ball up all day and regularly does 60-70 minutes in a game. Top signing who we will be sad to see go but as you will see on the Leigh board will be leaving with everyone's best wishes.

Top player , cracking attitude , he's got it all , look after him , he will come with no baggage and with F/T training is well capable of pushing on for further honours

I love how when anybody becomes available that we're the club they want. Myler, Atkins, Ratchford and now Hill. All young players who chose us despite heavy interest from other clubs.
