Apparently Willie Manu is being considered by McNamara for the Four Nations even though he played for Tonga in the 2008 World Cup




What are everyone's thoughts on this?

Interesting decision.

Willie Manu should not play for England for two reasons

1. He is Tongan
2. He is not good enough

Agree with the first bit but disagree with the second however believe the first bit is sufficient. Ultimately he'd perform better as an impact second-rower than Westwood would.

The Wigan fans are crying that Joel Tomkins hasn't been included.

Not crying, but with some the guys in that squad particularly the one who isnt even English I think Its harsh on him. I know you guys will disagree becuase of your bias and bitterness towards him, but imo he should be in. Cant argue with the 7 Wire players in there and most will and should make the final squad. Must be good to see so many of your players in there, hope we get to that level soon.

Because of McNamara being the Bradford coach beforehand is the only possible explanation. I do actually think Joel Tomkins should've been in the squad because he is better than Willie Manu for the the squad and I think he has a great future ahead of him.

Of course Joel Tomkins should be in there. However, there are hardly any back rowers in there. Far too many props. Maybe he's going for props in the second row (LMS, Peacock, Moz, Crabtree).

Interesting that Riley hasn't made it.

Joel Tomkins should be in, he's streets ahead of Manu, who is also 7 years older. The inclusion of Sykes is another joke, McNamara is starting to worry me already with these two selections.

It equally surprises and disappoints me that Carvell is picked ahead of Paul Wood.

He is worrying me though with some selections, cant say im going to be overly excited about the 4 nations yet again. We do have some decent players but it wont count for much with this idiot in charge...

Got nothing against Manu, but he isnt English end of story. I wouldnt want to see any of the Wigan overseas players in the England team if they could. What is interesting is that none of the top 3 English try scorers have made it into the squad, how often does that happen?

It was just a get together maybe Tomkins could not make it there is no Eastmond neither,and to include Manu is stupid Tickle must be gutted.

Eastmond is there. So are a whole host of injured players - Bridge, Sykes, Scruton....

Sorry mate he is,but lets not forget this Squad will be trimed to 23 when the party leaves i think a lot off them names are to make up the team for the benefit game in Whitehaven.
