I thought it was bad at the time and with the offene happening after he scored then it should have been an 8 point try. I know they are very rarely given nowadays (if ever) but that was one instance when it should have been given.

Wasnt even close to being an 8 point try, stupid play from Tomkins but i enjoyed it considering a few of your players think its ok to hit a kicker late. Dont see you complaining about those...

Whilst I understand it was a frustrating point of the game considering Wigan's onslaught was only rewarded with 6 points, it clearly was a cheap shot! It was unnecessary and could have been worse too. He seemed to pat Myler a couple of times upon realising what he'd done, as an apology.

Suppose in a game like that, emotion is skyward. Not that I condone elbow's to the face.

Our players didnt hit the kicker late on a couple of occasions morley closed the kicker down and turned his hips into him to put him off... no harm done

So thats why we got a few penalties out of them is it??? Not defending Tomkins one bit, it was late and unnecessary but what does make me laugh is you lot will whinge about that but think its ok when our guys get hit late. Abit of balanced opinions are needed here...

there were a couple of minor late challenges on the kicker.. which were penalised with penalties... no further action needed... it happens alot.

obviously the authorities decided that dropping onto someones face elbow first, SECONDS after the try was scored deserved more punishment... and they are correct.

Morley didnt get penalised did he?(sorry if im wrong) i know that carvell got penalised but you said on the kicker and his was just off the ball(which im not saying it fine)

There were some late hits I agree. But they weren't too bad. Penalty sufficient in my opinion. If Carvell had led straight into Tomkin's head and knocked him clean out, I'd expect a red card. But nothing there to justify any more punishment.

Cue a list of disgruntled Pie munchers saying it was Eddie Hemmings and the rest of his Sky cronies getting Tomkins charged. It's always Sky's fault...they hate us....Eddie's always had it in for us....Eddie is a Wire fan (NO HE'S NOT) etc

Im not disagreeing that the Tomkins one was bad but what makes me laugh that Wire fans call Wigan players thugs, as if every Wire player is a squeaky clean and always have been....

i dont think anyone with half a brain would say every wire player is squeaky clean... from what i have read, what we are saying is that no wire players commited offences worthy of suspension on friday. (granted there are some total idiots that spout complete sh**e.. but they should just be ignored)

The only incident worthy of suspension is the tomkins one.... so i dont see what all the fuss is about from alot of wigan fans.

at least wigan got the pens for those and happened during play and not when the ball is dead . coward

That should of definitely been an 8 point try, the ball had clearly been grounded when he came in with the elbow.

And Wigan fans constantly going on about the late shots, clearly there was nothing in them because none has been charged with anything unlike a certain tomkins.

What about some nice little play acting going on by Wigan players, We now how much Wigan fans go on about it when Briers does it.

No you're making that up. There were no penalties for late hits on kickers.

There were a couple of penalties for "late" hits on players after they passed the ball.

One thing I did notice was that Leluai on two occasions and Sam Tonkins once feigned injury by pretending to be out cold only to jump back to their feet a couple of seconds later when no penalty was given. Leluai even managed to con the touch-judge who came on waving his flag leading to a penalty.

Warrington were penalised twice during the game for late challenges on the kicker (Carvell & LAnderson). All other challenges were deemed legal ie, Morley running in and turning with his arms down and using the hips to strike the opponent which is perfectly legal.

If Joel Tompkins gets a ban it will be fully deserved. He committed a cowardly offence once a try had been grounded.

Not sure if it has been mentioned but didn't Tomkins also concede a penalty for a late hit on Myler after he had kicked the ball?

There all weeds going after Myler I'd of loved Tomkins to do what he did to Myler on Morley but we all know that won't be happening anytime soon.
