I'm sure this thread has been done a hundred times before but on the back of watching the origin match today, I cant think of anyone I would rather see play for us than Jarryd Hayne.
In terms of excitement i don't think he can be bettered. So explosive with the ball in hand.. he goes round people, he goes right through them (forwards included).. he puts people through with some amazing ball skills.. also puts massive hits in defensively... OK sometimes he makes the odd mistake.. but i could easily put up with that to watch him week in week out.
Imagine Hayne in SL... he would tear it to pieces.

Jonathan Thurston all day long ....best player in the world.....its a shame he plays for a hopelessly poor team (In NRL standards) in the cowboys, which is probably why people have mentioned Players like Hayne and Marshall over Thurston.
Inglis is a wonderful player but JT shades it for me..

Exactly, who knows how the Aussies would go over here. The usual is that they sign for big money then spend their first year being total crap while they are 'settling in'.
I would say if we are getting someone in make it someone who is proven in SL - eg Brett Hodgson or Jamie Lyon
