I've noticed a number of postings on multiple boards suggesting we are going to smash all and sundrie before us. I think some of us are getting a little ahead of ourselves and we need to take a step back.

How many times in the past have we slagged Saints and Wigan fans for being cocky as we didn't like it. Now it seems we are doing the same.

In Smiths latest interview he talks about humility in Winning and Losing. I think us as fans should also follow this and not be so cocky. We are setting oursleves up for a big bubble burst.

Agreed. Although you will be hard pushed to see a more gracious and humble post match interview following dishing out an absolute pasting than you saw from TS on Saturday. If Wire can continue to play and react with the dignity and class he gives out we won't go far wrong win lose or draw.

Since the draw was made yesterday i've been cringing with some of our fans comments on the Bulls board, we all know what happened when a few cocky Wiganers were spouting off before there trip to Odsal and were left with egg on there face. We have two massive games coming up before the QF, starting friday at Leeds and then the Giants come to town, and will no doubt be looking to redeem themselves after Saturday.

I can't imagine that the people who write these, wire to beat the world threads are anything other than new' ish supporters, because I cant believe anyone like myself who have experienced the Wire rollercoaster over the past 10, 20,30 or so years would ever be foolish enough to write the crap that I have been reading this weekend, its nice to believe and I want success as much as the next fan, but one step at a time.

Having said that the quality of the crusaders game was attrocious IMO and i reckon maybe I could have put 50 past them!

Take a leaf out of TS book and keep feet firmly on the ground we have some very tough fixtures coming up and it will test the team to its limit, we need luck on the injury front, but I do have more faith this year in the fringe players than prev years, and this year we have been able to pick when and when and were to play them unlike prev seasons when we had to throw several in at the deep end because of the injury crisis we went through for a couple of seasons. wont be taking any of the next three games lightly, we will have to be on our A game for all 3

As a Leeds fan as you can imagine we have been getting plenty of stick this season. it's quite funny as the pies, your lot, even sanits are giving it some again which is a suprise to be honest. Even hudds up to this week have been at it! All saying how they are gonna be unstoppable and champions! I've had to laugh as only one team can win it so there are gonna be plenty of fans who look stupid come season end. as you will have already worked out if you are serious title contenders winning the cc is no consolation to not winning the big prize at OT! In 09 hudds season didn't fall apart until late august! there is a lot to unfold this season.

A few overenthusiastic 'kids' get ahead of themselves with the 'we're gonna destroy them' style quotes and all Wire fans get labelled cocky and arrogant. Just the same as a handful of 'fans' can't handle their ale and get aggresive and we're all labelled as 'scum'. Truth is that the vast majority of Wire fans are all too well aware that we are more than capable of imploding and being on the wrong end of a hiding to just about anyone.

I genuinely can't imagine Tony Smith directing his squad to rlfans or facebook for advice from the Gurus of Warrington.

this season maybe more than any other has shown us that anyone on the day can get hammered, dish out the hammering or think the game is in the bag and get beat! it looks like my team Leeds will be 4th to 8th hopfully not worse but it could happen. I think if Leeds hit the play offs in great form we can take it out from anywhere! it's gonna be ding dong to the last! saints can vouch for the fact that battering teams week in week out means dick if you don't get the job done come season end!

The fact of the matter is that a side will only play like that once or twice a season. I'd put money on us not performing that well again this season.

We've put 60 points on the board two weeks running to be fair. Bit of a gulf in quality of opposition, granted, but you can only play what is in front of you.

Lets see how we go this week, we may have a few injuries so it will be interesting to see how things go. Myler is the only one confirmed so far, however.

I am a leeds fan and i dont think you are all cocky. All teams have fans who will be shouting about how good they are. I remember watching my team for years promise lots and never deliver. But TS has you playing well, and good as a team, and genuinly think you will be there abouts come the end. However it depends how your form is at end of the season, look at Hull KR AND HUDDS last year.

After 20 years of watching Warrington, with the singing of "Dessie, give us a wave" at Des Drummond and getting a wave back being the highlight of the match I say let people be optimistic. Makes a change from the miserable downtrodden attitude Warrington fans usually have.

That said all I want is to beat Saints when it matters haha.

In all due respect - bollox to the opening post. Smith and the team are doing things right & aren't over confident .. Simply put this squad under this coach are the finest set of P&B players to have put the shirt on in over 40 years.

For any new/young fans. enjoy this squad & this time as it will run out & you'll be telling stories about these players, carvel's try running 80, for a prop, Bridge scoring 5 tries against one of the top teams in the cup.. watching your side at Edinborough where all the backs scored & we got eh highest total we have in Superleague.
