I was a fairly late convert to the game as despite growing up in Warrington I was only interested in football as a kid and didn't go to Wilderspool for the first time until I was 14.

A game then came around which created such a buzz among the Wire fans at school that a few of us decided to go along for the first time and see what all the fuss was about.

Friday 22nd April 1994

Anyone who was there that night will need no reminding of why I was immediately hooked. Brilliant.

Cas at home on a friday night, pre-super league i think (maybe 1994) when i was 5, all I can remember is that we won, and the big screen was in the corner of the snookers/railway end stand (unless I am mistaken, which wouldn't surprise me...)

Warrington V Halifax 1987, we won 16-10 (I think) in a dour game, John Woods seemed to kick goals from anywhere, Brian Johnson didn't seem to get a speck of mud on his pristine white kit with P&B chevron.

Hooked ever since.

I was at this game. Absolutely great.

My first game was 87, home to Leeds. Les Boyd played with his arm in a cast.

cant remember the exact game but mid to late 70's, remember john bevan was playing and was sat with my legs over the side scoffing a murray mint and thinking mums not said "be careful you will choke"

My Dad took me to the 1974 final v Fev when I was 6, then again the year later v Widnes, and I've been going ever since - so I made sure I took my two kids with me this year to see if it has the same affect on them - two wolfpack season tickets for Christmas so it seems to have worked!!!!

I bought a Wolf Pack season ticket for the 94/95 season after the match I mentioned above. It was a tenner then. If we do expand the ground in the next few years I'd love to see a similar concession re-introduced to get more local kids going.

My father took me the 1967 Australian's tour match. Australia won 16-7. Stand-off Willie Aspinall scored the Wire try. I was then hooked me and friend where the only two Wire fans to catch the bus from Lymm for two or three years but in then the numbers started to grow.

Mine was Bradford home 2007 and I have only missed one home game since. I first moved to Warrington in 2000 when I was posted here with the Army in2000. I was a football fan then so I never went to watch the rugby. However on leaving the army we moved back to Warrington where I got the bug after my first game. Me, my wife & two children are season ticket holders since the 2008 season. It's brilliant.

Rochdale at home in the early 70s when we had already won the league/championship, whatever it was called. I remember the players running out and chucking toffees into the Fletch.

Mine was about 1967 against Swinton.

1993 against Halifax at home when I was 10, a night game where the floodlights went out for over 20 minutes. I had been going to Warrington Town games before with my neighbours but that night they invited me to the Rugby.

I still loved the game even though it was cold and we were standing around in the dark for a bit of the night. I bought a season ticket for £10 the day after and have been buying a season ticket ever since, I never have gone back to watch Warrington Town.

Hardly knew RL existed until I started secondary school, football was all I cared about back then.

So it would have been Workington at home, can't remember the year probably 1994 I think.

The match that really got me hooked on RL was New Zealand v Tonga in the 1995 World Cup.
