Whats the general opinion? Future SL players or more NL cast off's of the future?

Blythe looked excellent when he came on to the scene (away at Saints 2 years ago?) but since, I've not seen him have a good game (albeit limited chances). Im not so sure he will make it.

Pickersgill is absolutely huge isn't he now? Didnt do much wrong tonight but again, dont get the impression his game will get to SL level.

Just my thoughts, anyone else?

Blythe had an absolute shocker tonight, one on one tackling was terrible and couldn't manage to hold the ball...

He has ability but a chav's brain.

Blythe was the worst player on the pitch tonight, which is disappointing as he looked good when he burst onto the scene last year. He needs to buck up or he will be on his way out.

never mind blythe and pickersgill. what about johnson he needs to go.

Its alright he'll be gone at the end of the season, absolute waste of space. Hope he's nowhere near the 17 for Wembley.

We're looking for a replacment for Gaz Hock...........we might have found our man going off that description

pickers didn't really stand out for me either way, blythe disapointingly cack again tonight, it really really is disapointing considering how awesome he was last year.


Also can i just point out i cba starting a thread on him, but Rah, seriously don't kid anyone asking for a new contract, your done man.

glad you can see it aswell mate. he was our worse player in the semi and hasnt done anything since saints in the cc last year.

Yeah you are right...he was bollox.
Last time I saw him play well on Sky was when he made a couple of brilliant backflip offloads to his winger....that was some time back.
He's past his sell by date.

Rah and Johnson should be out the door. Johnno has performed in the past when fit but the trouble is hes never fit anymore and I think its caught up with him.

Rah is simply awful. Blythe and Picks I would like to be given more time to develop. Preferably with loan spells at other clubs.

Blythe was disappointing. But didn't surprise me. Picks and tyke didn't really get into swing of things.

Cooper is so far ahead of Rah now its unreal.

Blythe was terrible tonight. Fell off tackles, several knock on's and gave 2 or 3 penalties away. I thought he was the next big thing last year, thought he was a sure star for the future. This year he has been very disappointing, 8 appearances and more often then not it has been the same story.

Pickers I thought played very well when you consider the overall team performance. Arguably our best prop tonight, certainly outperformed Cooper and Rauhihi. No penalties or errors from the big man today which can not be said for the other three, but he didn't have the same amount of game time.

If Carvell is fit next week I would drop Rauhihi and keep Pickers and Cooper on the bench. He looked incapable of keeping up with the defensive line on several occasions.

Rah and Johnson are at real risk of losing out on a Wembley spot.

They simply can't go on with the amount of errors they make.

Sorry mate, thought Cooper had a good game tonight and far outshone Pickers.
I reckon Pickersgill will come good one day pretty soon though.

Pickersgill will be 24 later this year so can't really be described as a developing youngster anymore. Cooper, Mitchell and lots of others are miles ahead of him now, we should at least give Adam Neal (who only turned 19 in May) a chance instead.

Blythe has made too many mistakes and gave away too many penalties in the games he has played at SL level, but he's only 20 so has got some more time.

Don't be too hard on Blythe, he gets very few chances in the first team and is probably trying too hard, meaning mistakes are bound to creep in.

I used to think Cooper was a bit of a liability on the field, but as he has been given a longer run in the team he has settled into it, and is now looking like a solid player, with plenty of potential.

It was a tough game for many of our kids last night, there were a lot of them out there, playing against a fired up, in form Wigan side.

Picks is probably destined for a career outside SL, but far too early to make that kind of judegement on Blythe.

I think it's quite the opposite, he looks like he couldn't give a monkeys. Lazy mistakes like not locking the ball in, or lying on a defender tha tsecond too long when you know, like your in the crowd shouting "Gerrrrro..." and Silverwood has given it.

He looks borderline braindead out there at times. You look at say Mitchell, I've seen him make errors, but his game awareness looks far superior to me.

Rauhihi is a disgrace. I'm done with him, have been for a year. What kills me with him, is on a night like last night, I want a 35 year old former Test captain, to get hold of McCarthy, Picks etc and have a queit word, call on his experience, y'know, solid sets, get to a kick, make the hard yards, coax them through. Instead, we get this fat wally run on, fling the ball on the floor (not on offload, sorry) and cough up cheap possesion, over & over. I just think he sets a crap example.

All of the following need to be shown the door as they are not good enough for SL or Warrington Wolves;

Rauhihi
Johnson
Penny

I agree minus Penny, I'm not done with him yet. I want to see what happens to him under Smith.

If it was like, a chcklist for what I want from someone, he's cool, he's just missing something, but it'd like ...

Willingness to learn - Tick.

I just want Smith to find that something.
