Heard from a good few people today that I didn't even know had an interest in RL or Wire that they are going the final, you hear of football clubs taking 30/40k to Wembley (think Luton took the most) would be great to have 20k+ there.

We are I beleive close to the 8000 mark now, I fully expect 20,000 plus

yeah i know 11 people or so who don't usually attend matches that are going to support the wire at wembley. it'l be a good crowd for sure

If you think back to the first game at HJ, we had around 13,500 in there, and I would expect a hell of a lot more for this.

Anything below 20k is disapointing. You should sell 11k easy because thats how many you can get at home occasionally against saints so no doubt they will all go. The next 9k will sell slow but I am sure you will sell them.

The only thing we have to take into account is that we are in the middle of a recession and not everyone who would like to go will be able to.

Sure all the die hards will move heaven and earth to get there however some of the casual fans that would like to may not be able to in the current climate

Yep, that is a factor, but I would expect more people to go for the day trips than would normally stay over, as opposed to missing out altogether.

The previous recession in the UK began in 1990. My ticket for the 1990 final cost £24, IIRC. I reckon this would be equivalent to well over £40 today. The ticket prices this year, are to my mind, incredibly fair. Transport, beer and accommodation may be another matter, though...

When your averaging as many as we do for home games and you can have the worst season for 20 years to see your crowds go up, come back and then we can have the debate.

they can come out of the woodwork for me,i hope that getting to this final and seeing what tony smith has done in the short time he's been here will bring back the stayaway fans of the last couple of seasons,this could just be the catalyst we have needed.

We took 20k last time and we have twice the average attendance these days. Plus for many fans it's the first time we've been in a final.

I think its great that the final is being contested between 2 different teams rather than the usual suspects of previous years.

Do you think that there will not be as many other teams supporters going this year as I can easily see Warrington getting near the 30k mark.

Some of them (saints,wigan etc) might not bother if we are there in such large numbers and will just watch it on the TV. Or more than likely still go and back Hudds.
