If Wood has broken his leg as detailed in other threads ( no confirmation from the club yet), would Pickersgill be recalled from his loan period, or would Smith promote a back rower as prop?

I would imagine that Rauhihi and Cooper would be back up to Morley and Carvell

I know it's a terrible injury and i wish him all the best but he wont be missed that much...... I feel the young lads like Cooper and Mitchell have been doing lots more in terms of making the hard yards... Wood drop's to much ball also.

mitchell's been back in the team, what, 3 weeks? and wood has been a big part of our good run of form.

He has in the games he's played....Wood's lost the ball 5 times in 3 games for god sake and let's be honest the injury's have taken there toll mentally if not physically, he doesn't go in as hard like he used to and his tackling needs some work.

Rau will replace Paul Wood. We can't afford the penalties that Pickersgill gives away. After his display yesterday Cooper has also moved well above Picks in the pecking order.

As I think he's doing very well with us I hope he stays beyond this season, and with the players you've got coming through I can see this happening. I think the 'he's a penalty machine' has been blown way out of proportion. For the games he's played for us, he hasn't been giving penalties away at all and plays with good controlled aggression. I think one or two people said it and everyone else jumped on the bandwagon without seeing him play consistantly.

He could well end up staying at widnes, was talking to Picks dad on Saturday and Warrington have not yet offered him a new contract.

Hope so, he needs a good season of games after his injuries and I think he'll improve more long term in our league without the pace and power of Super League. He can play that with us in 2012!

Ok pull me the stats up from Superleague.co.uk to prove Lee Mitchell is more handy in the front row than Paul Wood and also to point out Paul Wood's lack of work??? If you pull up metre stats, tackles and marker tackles you're going to be left with egg on your face.

On the subject of Coops, he has been great and has a bright future ahead of him. He hasn't made an error this season and deserves his spot in the 17.

if anyone goes to prop then it will be ben harrison as that is his original position so we would have no need for pickersgill
