I watched Huddersfield on Friday, that Cudjoe scored, he's 23 and only just breaking into the Hudds side, and can't cement a place as such. Penny just broke onto the scene far, far earlier than most folk, and had to get his RL education in the limelight, in a very tough league. He's now taking a step back to hopefully take two forward.

He's still got so much time on his hands. If he has to learn for 18 mths or whatever, he'll still be like 20.

Donald, Gardener, Smith, S Gleeson, Fox and many many more are all better finishers.

apart from the fact that he isn't in SL and is playing at a lower level against the likes of FEV and Batley rather than Saints and Leeds Anyone who is remotely near Sl level would shine in NL 1 look how well Celtic did last year and look at them now and they have improved their squad,
Getting back to Penny though he was found wanting at SL level and has found his calling in NL 1 and for me he can stay there until our lord TS says different .With the signing of Carney as well I cant see a way back for him imo !
I also think that Fox and Gidley even Riley and Hicks are better finishers as you put it Penny was way off the required standard imo !

I said he was blamed for everything by certain people when he was nowhere near the only culpable person early in the season. He's not perfect but then again none of us is. Soem people might have thought Riley might never make it and he seems to be doing fine right now.

I don't think there is currently a better finisher in Superleague than Raynor. Even if I am a bit biased.

He was balmed for everything that went wrong when he was playing and every try scored on his wing was his fault.

Apparently saved a certain try last game for Widnes ( I have friends on the dark side) I can only see Carney being a short term deal. Hicks is getting on and Riley though improving has a lot to learn.

If we wanted to get rid another SL club would sign him, not Widnes
