I didn't watch the whole match so cannot honourably comment on Phil's performance. However, i feel he was unfairly backed into a corner by the Hull KR Timekeeper. The siren should have been postponed until after play had been restarted after a clock stoppage. Would have been fuming if it had cost us the match.

The reefing incident that tied the scores at 24 all ...looked like the HKR player just lost control of the ball. The last scrum should have been a penalty to us ...the HKR player clearly put the ball through his legs therefore it wasn't played properly ,before he lost control of the ball.

I am completely confused as to why when a scrum is formed near the end of a game that the clock is stopped when in normal play the clock is not stopped for scrums.

It wasn't the best game from Bentham, he made some bad decisions.

I also thought it was a penalty, but at the end of the day - who cares!

The more I see Galea's try, the more I think it should not have been given... He did not, ever, have downward pressure on it. He bounced it!

Robbie Paul said in the commentary "The timekeeper definitely has a red and white jersey on". Referee had no choice though - if he'd played on, when could he have called the game as over? The timekeeper was wrong - I reckon Briers would have dropped a goal from that position. Good job it didn't cost you the game.

Agreed,,he never got downward pressure on that,,it was the sort of "try that was nevergiven a few seasons ago but now 9/10 are given..

Stanley Gene should have had more than a warning for almost killing your player with a swinging arm, if that would have connected....



Mathers also should have been yellow carded for holding back Welham, Fox was in support and with their pace I could have seen a try there.

Best team won over all, even if Welham did get a try from the aforementioned incident. You ground us down with constant attack, our defence crumbled and the only player who looked slightly interested in extra time was Paul Cooke.

I thought at the time Mathers may have been going to the bin but was relieved he didn't. Not had a chance to see it again yet though.

Few iffy decisions both ways. Perhaps the time keeper didn't see the referee stop the clock...or chose to ignore it.

I've always complained about the fact that the Timekeeper is a delegate of the home team - surely it's logical for the Match Commissioner to adopt the simple task. 1 small change could reduce the chances of any future controversy.

There is definately daylight between Galea's hand and the ball, and it bounced up after it...

Not seen the re-run of the game yet, but if anyone watched it on TV, can you confirm if the penalty for offside against us that came from the KR knock on about 3 minutes from time was actually a penalty?

It was crucial as it brought the scores level.

Just watching the game again, just up to that point. People may say i've got my rovers specs on but it was a penalty.

And Rovers REALLY got off with that scrum at the end, 4 seconds to go, stopped the clock, hooter went and Bentham blew the whistle. You would have got a drop from that most probably, and saved the Golden Point.
