i have been watching the wolves / wires for the last 40 years and during that time i have seen them play on more than

65 different grounds

of which 16 are football grounds

1 baseball ground

and i have seem them play home matches at 4 different venues

i was wondering if anybody has been to more grounds than me

I've been to a lot of football grounds but not watching the Wire and I doubt it tops 65 so; no.

Went to a random one in South Wales but can't remember the name

I've been to every clubs ground in SL apart from Crusaders.

Gateshead, Featherstone, Workington, Swinton, Halifax, Leigh, Widnes from the top of my head.

Anfield, Riverside Stadium, Old Trafford, Elland Road, Villa Park and the Nou Camp.

PS; Wembley if that counts

whatever happened to huyton,went there once many moons ago

We won that night & went to the top of the league. But not for long.

The 1st match ever to be played at Huyton was against Warrington. Unfortunately the match was cancelled minutes before the kick off as the pitch was full of pot- holes & the ref said it was unsafe.
On the way out the coach was pelted with bricks & a window was broken. Never went to Huyton again. The match was replayed at Wilderspool.

What about Goodison Park? Played Barrow in a league 'home' game there.
85 or 86 I think. Wilderspool was frozen and we hadn't played a home
game for over a month previously.

36 which I can remember in 15 years.

I've had a look and I think I've watched Warrington at nineteen grounds - all the current SL grounds except Catalans and Crusaders (I have been to Wrexham V Liverpool at the Racecourse Ground though) - plus Wilderspool, Central Park, Anfield, Wembley, Hilton Park, Griffin Park and Naughton Park.

I've been to more than that watching Liverpool, including a couple that crossover - Wigan and Hull - where I've watched both, and I've seen Liverpool at the old Wembley and Warrington at the new one.

I've also been to a few grounds watching neither of the above - Celtic Park, Hampden, Bernabeu, Murrayfield and quite a few lower division football grounds so the overall total may well hover around the 65 mark if I work it all out but obviously that's not just watching Wire.

A quickish ten minutes has got me up to 55 watching Warrington, there's probably more with a bit more thinking! Not sure I could get up to 65 though...
