Hill is away on England duty but other than that the squad looks about right, I think. Crosby will play this week according to Smith so there is a prop replacement for Hill. Bringing back Jack Johnson (if fit) is another option for full-back/wing with Gidley moving to half-back. I don't know how Penny is getting on with his injury.

Kev penny is playing for the reserves tonight & i think i read somewhere that Jack Johnson came off injured playing for Rochdale a couple of weeks ago but don't know what injury it was

Start Penny at Fullback and see how he goes. If he's having a mare he can swap with Russell who may have less of a mare. Either way, we need Penny's speed in the team.

Looking at twitter, both Penny & Johnson played the full 80mins last night for the reserves

They also both scored tries, i can't see either of them playing Friday with playing last night & just coming back from injury

I would agree. Another possibility is Morgan Smith who played for the U19's last week. I suspect TS must be keen to get him playing again to see if he can make the jump to SL. Plus Dwyer isn't exactly ripping it up at the moment. So we may see Morgan on the bench and used in rotation as a pivot.

I wouldn't put patton and Livett in charge of the Squad, i'd prefer patton and Gidley steering us around. Russel to fullback try Savelio at Centre, Livett on the bench. Won't happen but would be good to see

I would like to see George King picked again. When he played we have not lost.

TS is placing a lot of faith in Livett considering it's his first season in SL and he's not really a half.
He's been caught out a few times when he's played - expected given his experience.

Well youth is definitely being given a chance this season. I suspect we may see Gidley playing more of a half back role when we are in attack and dropping back when we are defending. Got to agree with Uncle Rico on the idea of Russell as full back...I'm suffering conniptions at the thought!

Dwyer also starting 9 so don't think Clark will be playing. Potentially have Morgan Smith as interchange hooker.

Don't you just love our coach selecting players out of position. If he goes with Livett and Smith in key pivot positions tonight we are likely to get absolutely murdered.

But our mighty leader will again escape criticism as he has a ready made excuse.

Personally if I was coach, I'd pick Gidley as full back as we can't leave Russell there. I'd pick Gidley at half back as we can't have two youngsters there. I'd pick Gidley at hooker as we can't trust Dwyer.
