i used to live in wollongong and i watched the dragons every time they had their home games there and funnily enough the general consensus was that the drags always had a star studded line up but the coaching wasn't up to scratch

maybe brown is a bit of a cullen type character - can get the best out of your average players but doesn't seem to work well with the cream of the crop?

or maybe nathan brown is a bit more up with all the wrestling moves they have honed to a tee down under?

Not a bad 19, particularly up against ours (if anyone has seen it). This may turn out to be the classic we all hoped for!

This is why we can beat Huddersfield. Their fans are obsessed with praise, and will go a-firefighting whenever anyone suggests they might not be as good as they think they are. They're terrified.

As for "obsessed with praise" I think you need to have a word with a couple of your own fans before you start hefting those rocks

One bellend has been courting for praise across these sites. Against a veritable pack of Giants fans who descend on any forum to defend their team when anyone suggests they might not win easily.

I'll keep answering because I'm a Warrington fan and I don't see what that has to do with jumped-up Huddersfield fans on a self-pleasuring foray onto the Warrington board.

My view was what I stated earlier and on other threads. Huddersfield have some genuine class, but none of those players strikes fear (or should strike fear) into our club like tried and tested champions like Long, Cunningham, Peacock, Gidley might.

Again you are disturbingly defensive over a geniune comment and still refuse to answer a genuine question. I gavent made a comment either way, I am just interested in the perception and where it comes from.

If you cant answer, then leave it to the poster I quoted directly.

Giants have a fantastic defence, mainly built on the way they slow down the play the ball, allowing them to be in position well before the ball is played.
If Wire can show an eagerness to get up quickly when tackled, I think we can negate that tactic - and put the Giant's defence under great pressure.
If Giants are allowed to slow down the play the ball, I fear for our chances, and for the chances of the final being an entertaining game.

Know what you mean Browny, Huddersfield, this that and the other is better than Warringtons, so why does any Warrington fan dare think wire could beat Hudds....is the way some Hudds fans are coming across to me.

Have a look at Warringtons score prediction thread on this forum, 2nd post down. It seems to me if anyone says Warrington can win, one of your lot pop up with some stats time and time again......these stats mean nothing come the game on Saturday, its like some of your fans think you cant lose because Huddersfield have better stats than Warrington. Thats just the way some are coming across.

wasn't saying he was an 'ok' coach r kid or that your squad is no good in fact what i meant was the opposite

brown is obviously a good coach because he has turned hudds into a good, consistent outfit

i was simply observing that he once had a team including barrett, gasnier, cooper, ryles, timmins (much bigger names at the time than anyone you have got now, no offence intended but they were top nrl/origin/kangaroo names) and i thought that the drags didn't cut it consistently and often 'choked' because browny wasn't a great coach back then

maybe some coaches work better with different sets of players e.g. cullen did his best work with appos and nat woods not with monaghans and kings

maybe he was just young and inexperienced back in those days

maybe he has brought some tactics from the nrl that coaches who have been in superleague longer aren't fully wise to yet e.g. wrestling moves

The two teams are too close to call - both got great coaches and team spirit....

Surely, Huddersfield and Wire fans shouldn't be bickering like this - OK, if it was us V Saints or The Giants V Leeds then maybe, but these two sets of fans don't have a problem with each other, and little rivalry, which is what should make this a great weekend......again, just my opinion....
