No worries, Original. The whole thing sends my mind back to the Harris saga for us. I still remember that embarrassing match where Harris came back to play for us just before his move, where muppets in the crowd were shouting "There's only one Iestyn Harris" while others would have seen him strung up gladly.

I'd be surprised if Eastmond laces a pair of boots in anger for Saints again. They want him gone. Rugby League wants him gone.

I guess that they have someone else lined up but need Eastmond off the cap now.

Would love him to stay and keep causing problems at Saints until the end of the season.

There always seems to be a degree of confusion over the salary cap rules and I'm not sure but... Whilst sacking him would get him off their payroll, as he has played for Saints isn't his salary included on the SC for this season regardless?

that was what they said about hicks, but he didnt play for us, and i think thats how we got off with it. But considering hes played surely hell still count on the cap...

Is the cap not live therefore once he has been dismissed and no longer on the payroll then he does not count on the cap?
