Totally shut Tomkins down today, excellent stuff. Also nice to see the Wigan fans showing their true colours when about 50 of them kicked off on about 5 stewards.

I thought that was a deliberate ploy, making sure the ball went dead. Wigan then had to start from thier own 20 with a set defense.

Yeah. It was the point. To make sure they had to keep running up and down the pitch against set defense.

It just became a practice exercise after a while.

Felt sorry for Hock...he tried his best to start a fight but along with everything else Wigan did...he FAILED BIG TIME.

Briers masterclass in kicking in open play AWAY from the supposedly best player on the pitch....Tomkins was totally played out of the game and might have fared better sitting in the West stand.

Finch...was he playing for us or them?..and Matty Smith once again proved why his level is probably Salford on a good day. (no disrespect to them)

I genuinely don't even remember Matty Smith being on the pitch.

think he got the assist for ratchfords try.

neither does he...although to be fair he was behind a very ineffective pack.

how bad was Mcullorum (spell?)...some Goons suggested earlier in the week he was going to give Monas a master class......

Wire/Wigan is now easily the biggest rivalry in the game.

not sure...it was Hock who chased back I think...certainly no fullback anywhere to be seen (for 80 mins!)

To be fair he played with a set of power-puff props but did make a lot of stupid mistakes.

Hock busted a gut for Wigan, and deserved a lot better than his team's "effort".

For me, no MotM today. Just a solid job done, fantastically, by ALL 17 (and the coaching staff).

Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeds must be getting a touch worried, after what we've done to 1st and 3rd, in less than a week.

(I've never been one to get ahead of myself, BUT) Carry on like we've done in August, and we've nothing to worry about.

Great performance from Wire tonight, don't think we'll get anywhere near you lot in the final.

Wigan are without any doubt the dirtiest team in SL borderline pathetic to be honest. They don't like it up 'em!

apparently they would rather have matty smith then michael dobson when it was suggested he might sign for them so glad you stuffed them after there mid season arrogance

Whilst the margin of victory was quite large, I think it was a bit misleading to say it was easy. I don't think I have seen Waterhouse quite as tired as that before. The Wire forwards totally dominated Wigan, but they put in a huge amount of effort. It looked pretty brutal at times. If you cast your mind back to the scrums, there were quite a lot of occasions when both packs took a long breather before packing down, so I hope they have not used too much up for the cc final in two weeks.

I think Wigan dropped the ball an awful lot as well, probably because they were under so much pressure from us. I should think they will be pretty disappointed with that performance.

Finally, I thought Wigan looked totally demoralised at the end of the match. If TS wanted to make a statement, then the team certainly did that today. It must have been a real knock to their moral. Sets up a very interesting last few league games.
