Firstly i'll state that i was 200+ miles away and didn't hear it on the radio so can't really comment on this game.
I'm not sure if our defence was fantastic or Salford were just really poor in attack.
One thing i can say though is this is very unlike Warrington, we have improved vastly on our defence and it is paying dividends.
Over the years we have always been a good attacking side but been seriously let down in defending.

How has TS changed a side in which most of these guys played in the drubbing at Quins last year to such a well organised team in defence?

We need to find a goalkicker, though. Another ten points blown today from missed conversions. Eastmond, Richards, even Tickle, kick them off the touchline. Could cost us in a close game: as it already has v Wigan and v Saints.

Salford never looked like scoring during the whole game. Our defense was great, but their attack was very predictable & lathargic.

I have no doubt our next signing will be a specialist goal kicker.

There are rumours circulating (i swear I'm not making idol nonsense up) that Tickle is coming to us next season, he was only retained this season because of a shortage of forwards and that FC plan on getting LMS from Quins and offloading Tickle to accommodate this.

I'd take him just for his superb goal kicking.

Second to Richards and Sinfield IMO.

Great goal line defence, defended 4 consecutive sets on our own line in the second half.

Attack was far from good, 11 dropped balls in the first half and then second half we looked too predictable.

2 points in the bag though and should be fresh for Hull as not too much effort went in...

We crossed your line once in the first half & only but for poor options again in the first half would have scored more.
Not saying we would have won but poor options in our Salford attact made your defence look good.

Hicks not kicking i would imagine is to prevent some sort of leg injury

TS has said that Hicks doesn't kick no more to prevent a re-currence of his calf injuiry.

Salford couldn't score in a brothel. At one point they had four sets of six on our line and still didn't look like crossing.

its you who needs his eyes checking...no way on this planet did the scoreline flatter us...your lot could`nt open up a paper from what i seen today...when you did break the line we had cover....worst team to visit the h&j this season

It shows you how poor Salford are when we were scrappy and still score 32 points on another day we could of put 60 points on them IMO.

I agree, we are a bad side, but don't start bleating on about how good your defence is? we are crap in attack, all I am saying is a good team would have punished you today, you were not that good?

That is my view. Probably the worst we have been this season but still ground out a 30 point win.

Out of interest was that Hicks who tracked from his wing to stop the Salford player when they finally made a clean break? If so what an effort.

It was if it's the one i'm thinking off i think Hicks nearly pushed him into touch but somehow the Salford player threw it back into play.

did`nt have to be that good...remember when you were beating most teams in the lower league you put in some below parr performances yet still won easily..thats what we did today..just as well really
