Yes, this makes total sense. Stef Ratchford has been a wonderful servant to the club over many years, but the truth is that he is unlikely to play much this season, so it's illogical for him to remain as club captain. Stef's main role now seems to be 'great bloke to have around the place'. And that's actually not to be under-estimated, as I'm sure he can be of great help to the young lads coming through.
