It does seem like that. There has been a spate of managers moaning about the schedule and as if by magic they've not resolved it. There is now already only Everton with a full December schedule out of the entire Premier League.

The difference was, rugby league games were getting cancelled when football was being played.

There are no crowds at some recent Bundesliga games, and there have been issues and abandoned top league games in France, because of crowd trouble. We can do without any of these problems.
