Your logic is a little off relating to season tickets and empty seats. Friday's game, dire as it was, was covered by the 2015 season ticket so it it more likely that pay per match fans never rocked up rather than season ticket holders. You'll also find the majority of fans seated in the centre sections of the north stand have had the same seats since we moved to the HJ and are unlikely not to renew.
Quote="Dropkick Murphy"I won't be buying a season ticket and I'm highly unlikely to join any membership either, but I'll be attending most home games and a few aways. Same as every other year.'"
Season tickets are pretty important to most clubs ,guaranteed money before start of the season ,obviously helps with budgeting and player acquisition, reaching towards a 10,000 target of sales would be a huge boost for the club ,to me buying a season ticket or being part of a membership scheme is part of my personal commitment to the club
I'm actually with Dropkick on this I won't buy a season ticket but will attend every home game possible ...and maybe the odd away. ...its nothing to do with results or not winning trophies or anything like that.
I missed one home game due to illness. ..and the Wigan game just gone as I was on holiday.
The last time I had a season ticket was before the corners were built. Back then the south stand sold out on the odd occasion and I didn't want the mither of going to pick tickets up mid week.
Expanding the stadium has now had the effect of not really needing a season ticket. ..
I might be interested in the membership scheme though. ...
I've been watching Wire since 1989 and I've had a season ticket for the majority of those years. I like the fact my games are paid for and I don't need the money on the day or have to pick up tickets in the week.
However if we change to the Friday night home games I won't be purchasing a season ticket.
