| Getting back in the car last night for the two hour drive home after watching that was terrible!!
First half hour, clueless with the ball but defence was very strong and we were doing ok. Then Sio's try, why was Ratch holding back? Just tackle him, Kelly had overran the ball so he wouldn't have passed inside. Just allowed him too much space.
Second try for them was the hit on Joel, can't do much about it but from then on in, awful!!
Aimless bombs, silly penalties, general lack of enthusiasm, speed, interest it looked like.
Tony Smith has done wonders for this club but something is not right in the camp at present and that unfortunately boils down to the coach and his staff.
We are in need of a major freshen up on and off the pitch and surely Simon Moran as a loyal Warrington supporter can see this.
People can say that we are fickle as we were poor in the Wilderspool years etc. but from the successful years, the club should be getting stronger year upon year but we have gone backwards since 2012, with this year compounding it and being in danger of fizzling out.
We are seriously in danger of missing out on Top 8.
Players to go:
Joel Monas (lost pace and never a captain, confidence looks shot)
Bridge (great service over years but nows the time to move on)
Atkins (again, good service but now not good enough)
Asotasi (on his way anyway)
England (not quite good enough but works hard)
Penny (just because looks like he is going anyway)
Signings:
Centre - Young with electric pace, something which Lineham will bring on wing, with Ormsby/Evans on the other.
Half Back - looks to be Cronk if believe aus papers.
2 x Props - Two young British props with size and power who can get quick play the ball
Second Row - Someone who can replace Bennie in next two years.
Off the field, Roger Draper has come in and is trying new things but the attendances should be his first issue. Home games are flat and that affects the team. Kids for fiver, free merchandise etc to season ticket holders. I'm no marketing man but something that will get the fans, who at the minute are watching an average side, excited about coming to the match. Bar inside the ground would be something club should definitely look into, this would be a certain money maker.
At the minute, as most fans, I'm a little disheartened. Still be there home and away but something must change.
If we do lose next week, then Tony must go. If we win, which we should, then it would only paper over cracks.

| OK - I'll get some stick here but as I said on another post it's the lack of planning (for replacements of top quality players) and recruitment that's my chief gripe with the club and TS.
They've realised that too late - putting their faith in youngsters who simply aren't ready.
So next year with Lineham and Gidley - it's a good start, but in my view a winger and utility back (maybe harsh) when we've got one in Ratch is not near the top of what we want.
We need 2 halves (or one with the capability to bring Myler on), at least one prop and one centre. (Atkins does my head in at the moment with his running out on the side and lack of chase back).
TS to stay as he can bring the best out of good players and if we recruit well then no compaints from me.

| I believe that recruitment is a problem and we are offering big money to top quality players and they wont come. They see the super league as a poor competition and wont come dispute the money. I am not talking of past it players or ones we have never heard of, I mean top quality players current SOO players. Would you accept poor quality imports rather than give the youth a chance again??

| Players that should go:
Asotasi
Atkins
Myler
Bridge
Those 4 are definites that need to go, there are others than aren't good enough but could be decent squad players if we replace the above 4 adequately.
They are:
Laithwaite
Harrison
England
Penny
The above just don't perform consistently enough to be in a top team.
We need to sign 2 centres, a half and a top quality one at that, a prop and a second row if we are to compete.
