Interesting read about Brough in John Kears autobiography.
He really rates him and accepts he's not perfect.

In these situations personal chemistry comes into the mix, and the amount of 'rope' each coach is prepared to give players.

Kear feels and has demonstrated he can work with Brough.
TS hasn't worked with him so much but is very intelligent and feels he doesn't fit in to the team he wants and it's values. Maybe because Kear is an ex-school teacher Yorkshire man there's an affinity and way of handling Brough.

On a separate point I as a little surprised about Noble wanting Hock given his (Nobles) views on management in his book.
Hock comes with a lot of baggage that could easily be seen to upset the team

Interesting point about TS. He handled mr placid, Eorl Crabtree, badly whilst at hudds. To the point that Eorl was about to give up rugby league to join the police force. You won't meet a more amenable type of guy than Eorl but if tony hadn't left when he did Eorl would no longer be in the game.

I guess sometimes people just don't click.

TS has his faults as does everyone else and I can imagine if you get on the wrong side of him it takes a lot to get back 'onside'.
On the whole though he seems to handle the players well - as long as they stick to the rules
