Quote="BogBrushHead"Looking on the bright side (someone has to
), yesterdays result means there will c30,000 people in Warrington who anticipated spending about £100 each (AGAIN!) on a ticket/travel/food & drink etc on another trip to Wembley. That's about £3m that can now be spent locally instead ......
However, the complete opposite will be happening over on Humberside. A lot of their fans hadn't planned on a trip to Wembley so now have to find that £100 from somewhere (Wonga website will be in meltdown today!), and then not spend it in an area of the country that really can't afford to lose £3m from it's local economy.
Well done Wire - in losing you have almost certainly improved conditions in our town whilst condemning residents of poor old Humberside to even more misery

I think the Hull economy will trade through this crisis thanks pal. Hull City will be at home in front of 25,000 for their opening Premier League fixture of the season so lots of pints and pies will be sold anyway. I am also sure the Red and White half of the City will be business as usual as they go down to their locals and cheer on Wigan.

People laughed when I said I was going to be a comedian. Well their not laughing now. There you go UTB use that one at least you will get one laugh during your act.
Quote="mark_m"because habitually we beat Wigan and our record shows that. I bet they are over the moon not be playing us and playing Hull.'"
Not really, I wanted, and many more Wigan fans, to meet Warrington in the final.
You've certainly had the edge over us for a few years now but i think it would of been a classic final (with a Wigan win by the way) and there would of been no better way to end that hoodoo.
Quote="hull2524"shame about this thread as i think its a bit of sour grapes or a bit of a leg pull gone wrong, i went yesterday and before during and after thought both sets of fans where great, the clapping and backslapping from the wire fans after the match made me proud to be a rugby supporter, to all the brill wire fans i applaud you
'"
Think that's the bit that UTB missed - god forbid I ever go to a club where's he's the compare (and scarily, I do have to work in Hessle once a month)...... as for sour grapes - lighten up .... everyone in that ground, no matter who they support, saw Wire make a mess of simple ball retention under pressure and making the final 10 yards too many times. And Hull said "Gift Horse? Ta very much" and off they go to Wembley ....
I sincerely hope they enjoy it, but, as at the Etihad, some of them need to lighten up and enjoy the good times.
