Quote ="Just Little Lion Man"I think it is quite simple! - this is an extract from the RFL letter - " Having taken the view point they were not going to play many, if any, games in the first team in 2013 all six players have agreed to the transfer arrangements and their new employment contract with Swinton Lions RLFC. These players are now not registered or contracted with Warrington Wolves and therefore do not count towards the regulation regarding only allowing 5 loan and/or dual registered players in any matchday 17."
The six were subsequently increased to 7 with the inclusion of Danny bridge.
As the rules have it, swinton have loaned Mendieka to london, the seven players have no contracts with warrington. It has been announced on the swinton website.
You may note the careful wording on the warrington website which avoids saying he is currently a warrington player...vague.
I suspect that the reason they still appear on the warrington website is due to the fact that warrington have received sponsorship for the player and it is not political to have dumped your reserves.
That said, click your fingers and I am sure they will find a way back.'"
Why would Swinton choose to loan out a first team regular?
