We thought you overachieved last year with all the old players in the side. Maybe its this season they will handicap you by keeping some of them a season too long.
Mona,s, Hodgson, Morley,Carvell, Briers all with lots of experience will be difficult to replace next year.
Then you will have Woody, Waterhouse and Westwood will need replacing shortly, that means you will need an almost new pack to dominate a game.
You,ve had 3 good seasons the problem is you could slip into a transitional period which could be an unrewarding one, similar to Saints and Hull who have been in transition for the last 5 years.
what I dont understand is this chant of "its always your year" has started in the last two years when we have been arguably the best side in Superleague
Why werent they chanting this when saints were top dogs and we were quite crap but could give saints a good game but eventually lose...........I was reading an archive from 2003 when we had steve Blakely and we were "dark horses" for the league that year too...!!!
This chant in my opinion just highlights the fall of Saints from the top table........as long as they are singing it it will usually mean we are doing ok.
its like Liverpool fans singing the Eff of chelsea Fc you aint got no history song ....they only sing that because chelsea are winning premier leagues and liverpool arent... if cheslea were crap they wouldnt bother.......
What concerns me is in certain games (like last night) where it becomes obvious we just need to put a lid on the fancy stuff respect the ball and just play out a few sets and put a good kick in we don't... Sometimes basic rugby is called for and we seem reluctant to play it..
