Having now written four novels (One Winter, One Spring, One Summer and One Autumn), all with a strong South Lancashire Rugby League background, I am now pleased to announce that, apart for the last page, I have now completed writing the fifth in the series.
It is set during 2002 and 2003 and among the the chapter titles are "A Tale from Knowsley Road", "Billinge Rules", " A Day Out In Wigan", "Listening To Stevo and Eddie", "Meeting Eddie Waring", "A Day On The M62", "The Welsh Girl From Wrexham" and "She's A Jehovah's Widnes"!
It follows on ten years from where "One Autumn" ends. Some characters have passed away and some new ones appear including a Makem who lives in Wigan but supports the Wolves, an engineer from Stockton Heath and the main character's daughter who lives in Burtonwood.
It will be published sometime next year, but for anyone looking for a Christmas present for this year, both "One Winter" and "One Autumn" are now available through Amazon on Kindle and "One Autumn" is on sale in the club shop.
Finally I am considering calling the novel "Two Seasons" although if anybody can come up with a better title, I'll be pleased to hear it.
