I remember my Dad telling me that Middlesbrough played City in the cup once at Maine Road and it was in the days when sponsors had just come in but certain sponsors couldn't be shown on live tele, one of which Boro had on the kit they'd brought down. So Boro so went down to Old Trafford to get United's home strip. He said the atmosphere rose about four notches when Boro ran out.

If us and Leeds got away with the colours we wore in the 2010 CC we wont need to worry about what kits both teams are wearing this week. Still don't know how hat was okay'd.

Hope so - still no idea why we had to wear that godawful 'pink and steel' effort at Wembley! There was no clash whatsoever at Headingley when both teams wore their home kits!
