Quote ="750"Saints are in good form of late , they beat Warrington 2 weeks ago.
Westwood and Carvell will not be match fit and Saints , like Leeds , know how to
win big play off games.
Don't get me wrong , I think Warrington are a very good team , but if Saints are there or therabouts after 30 minutes , I would imagine they will go on to win .
Hope its a great game and the best team wins'"
A week off might have done Carvell some good. I do agree Benny wont be match fit though as he's had no game time since the CC Final. That's even if they play.
In our last eight games we've beaten Saints and Wigan comfortably, Leeds in a final, scored 106 points in two games against Hudds and Widnes, and Hull who got near our line three times in 80minutes. Yes, we were woeful in London (resting eight of our best players) and against Saints at home but we played like we didn't need to win either game (and we didn't). But I would say we are in as good a form as anyone in the last two months.
There will be less pressure on us not being at home this evening too. The expectation of a home crowd can act as a negative.
Tonight's game will be close. I've watched back the game from two weeks ago and thought there was actually very little between the two sides for most of the game. Both teams created about the same amount of try scoring opportunities, in fact from our own play Wire created more and Saints actually scored a couple of tries from Wire errors rather than their own industry, but Wire blew them just before the line. There was just a fifteen minute spell where Saints started to control the speed of the PTB in their favour and that was the only real difference between the two teams. It wasn't a particularly good game, far too many errors by both sides.
There have been two games between the two sides this season that have been dominated more by the winner.
To win Wire have to control Roby, Puletua and Soliola with more power and guile than we did two weeks ago. But we will absolutely be better and more focused and more powerful in the pack.
I don't see a clear favourite for the game at all.
