I have recently read an article how rugby league lack in is promoting the profile of our young stars of the game and how young players go off to union to become more well known in the media. This show is perfect for it to try and give them a bit of exposure and raise the profile of them yet for the past weeks we have had Tommy Martyn , Brian Noble and next week is Maurice Lyndsey.
come on surely we can do something better???
Maurice Lyndsey had a long stay at the top as an administrator and that shows that he is an accomplished politician. I doubt that he ever made a single postive contribution to the game. The move to summer, after all, was not something he came up with and then delivered. He was lucky enough to be the man on the end of the phone when News Corp called with the promise of a fat cheque.
Next week's show will only be justified if his record is really examined - which it won't be. Can we persuade Brian Carney to have the night off and let Jeremy Paxman do the interview?
