Nope. For "Category A" games (United, Everton, Chelsea, Arsenal and City) it's £43 in the Kop and £45 in every other stand - including the opposite end. There's also a £2.50 booking fee for buying online, which is by far the easiest way to get tickets, so in reality you pay up to £47.50. The cheapest tickets are £38 for "Category C" games in the Kop. As an aside you also need a £29 membership (which I didn't renew this summer in protest at the then owners, although I've started going again now they've gone) in order to buy tickets in the first place.

We're not the most expensive in the Premier League though. All London clubs charge more than that, and even in the North West, our away tickets at City in August were £48 so I turned down the offer of one.

Any RL fans with no interest in football might get an appreciation from this as to why [isome[/i people who support a football club don't actually go and watch them very often.

I grew up with football when I lived in Blackpool, still have a season ticket today. Got into rugby in my teens when I moved to Wigan and now have a season ticket for them as well.

I much prefer playing football rather than rugby, obviously because im crap at rugby and ok at football, but would rather watch any rugby game over a football game (with exception of b'pool).

I find the transfer aspect of football fantastic though, checking bbc sport every 5 minutes in the transfer window!

I use to be a season ticket holder with a Premier league club but have lost nearly any interest I have with football. All too predictable and completely focused on money.

I did enjoy watching the FC United match on ESPN last Friday, just for the passion of the fans.

When you see them rolling round "in pain" on the floor and diving etc, makes me wonder what examples they are setting to youngsters....... and I wonder why I still watch it.

The thing with football for me is how it has lost touch with the majority of the people who watch it and fund it, the working/middle classes. It's crass, distasteful and mercenary with the majority of the people that play (at top level) vile horrible self interested self important turds. But hey we are told how they go to childrens hospitals on their days off ? more carefully constructed PR than actual giving a cr*p. Used to love it, now the only thing i do is the fantasy football and check the scores on BBC football just for the banter at work (only because no one follows RL down here).
