We've had both written on our kits in the past. The old rugby ball with a lightning bolt through it badge had "WIRES" written underneath, and the 95/96 RL Centenary season kits had "WIRE" written on the back.
Obviously the traditional nickname is "The Wire-pullers" which more naturally abbreviates to "The Wire", and the old shout is "Now The Wire", but we also regularly chant for "Wires" so as far as I'm concerned it's up to you.
I've got "WIRE" written on my arm but if someone else had "WIRES" I wouldn't say it was wrong.
