Did you know that last night could have been last home game until next February ??

If we finish 3rd in league, we have an away game in play offs, if we win that depending on who we face in the semi final we would also have an away game - higher placed team always has home advantage.

Then again, if we finish second, we could possibly have 3 home games left - lose round 1, win round 2, then semi final.

A fitting send off to the HJ year if it was the last !!

If we finish third but then win at Knowsley Road, we will play in the third week of the playoffs at home. If Wigan win their home game they will get to pick from the winners of the second week. If Wigan get beat and we win then we will get the pick.

If we lose in week one then we will be at home in week two.

Result. We have one home game left and if we come second, win week 1 and wigan lose we will have two

To clarify:- Using the 4 teams Wigan, us, Saints, Leeds (although it could of course be Hull) and assuming Wigan come top

If we come second
Week one home.
If we win then we are at home in week three and, if Wigan lose to Leeds then we will get the choice of opponents.
If we lose we are at home week two, then if we win we will be away in week three against Saints or the WINNER of Wigan and Leeds

If we finish third
Week one we are away
If we win we will be at home in week three and if Leeds beat Wigan then we will get the choice.
If we lose we will be at home in week two and if we win we will be away in week three against Saint or the WINNER of Wigan and Leeds.

The result is that we have at least two play off games and are guaranteed that at least one of them is at home. Finish second and we are guaranteed two home games.

Im just hoping for a home win in week 1 (ie finish second) as i cant make the middle playoff weekend.
