Walked through Sankey Valley on the way to visiting my Grandad in hospital earlier, very slippy frost and ice everywhere and the canals were thinly iced over.
It's not just the white frost on top that they worry about but underneath gets solid as well, and it has been freezing all day anyway so the pitch would have never got soft.
There's less complaining about the game being off than there usually is at this time of the year if the game is on.
Aren't these pre season games the ones where everyone wants it to be half price because instead of seeing proper RL players, Aussies and the like, we are forced to watch young Warrington lads. Who wants to see that????

and besides that i'm so glad we went to summer rugby, it is now a faster more open game and brings us closer to competing with the aussies.
