Was it because cracking open a bottle of bubbly could be seen as a celebration too far for just winning a semi
Or was it because if players (Briers especially) are seen necking alcohol fans and media alike would have reason to drag out the old culture thing if/when we get hammered by the pies on friday.
Whatever the case Monas was dead right and Briers god love him showed a bit of imaturity, although he can be forgiven as im sure he felt like exploding with excitement, pride and various other emotions.
