Comon mate,
This topic made only to bag Matty King. Guys, seriously it is not hard for anyone reading all of this make out that you are all just unhappy about the losses.
Matty King is better than anyone else you have got out in that position so give the guy some encouragment for a change.
And some Respect.

| We'll see who was to 'blame' for this weeks loss as Lowes has said:
"If some of the guys continue in that vein, they won't be playing in the first team."
Should be about 10 changes for friday then. lol

| Apologies for lurking, but was interested to see reactions after Saturday;s game having gone along.
It interesting to note that the players under fire are the Aussies, yet there is mainly good things to be said on here about British players at Wire (Briers being the exception at the mo perhaps).
Frankly, we are all to blame for this. Every fan of every Superleague side that posts each season about who the next great Aussie import might be. We all look for quick fixes and instant success through big signings from down under. It is a fact that I've often repeated in forums that no team has won a Grand Final with an Australian halfback, and Wigan are the only team to have fielded one in a final.
New Zealanders and Islanders are different. They come in their prime, or before it in most cases and earn their places in the team then and spend good long years with clubs. (The Pauls are the only non-British halfs to win a grand final ring).
yet every year we look for the next big name Australian. Whilst a few have been successful, the numbers who have gone home without bringing the expected success in the modern era are staggering. Even where they have made an impact -some might point to Barrett at Wigan for instance- its back to square one when they leave.
Surely the lessons must be learnt by us all!

| What bites Warrington on the bum though, is that to secure the deals, and to beat off competition, we give the chaps 4 year deals, and when it doesn't go according to plan, your suckered.
On that note, I've just been thinking about the overseas lads, and that's another thing, you look at why they are misfiring, and they are 'bad signings' and whatever else, I think it's easy to forget just how many other clubs wanted these blokes, and Warrington fought off pretty stiff competition to land them, Monaghan had NRL options, Hull I think too, King had Hull KR, Wigan amongst others. There was obviously a weight of opinion that these players would be a success in SL, for there to be such a scramble for signatures, this just baffles me even further as to their diabolical form. (King especially)

| If word on the street is to be believed, we weren't in for King at all, then I think it might have been either Whelan or Lindsay were gloating to Moran, or something, so he thought "love it" and signed King, when we were apparently close to signing Brett Hodgson.
How hindsight is a wonderful thing..
