Quote Wires71="Wires71"Great stuff.
I bought some tulle in PnB off ebay and learnt how to sew a Desmond from youtube. It's not going to win a fashion contest but my little girl is delighted. Loads of Primrose and Blue stuff in Hobbycraft on Winwick road.'"
Tutus are really easy dude, you shouldn't need to do any sewing.
- Take a length of ribbon, for the waist.
- Cut strips of tulle twice the length you want the tutu to be.
- Fold the tulle in half and hold the folded end next to the ribbon.
- Take the other end and hook it over the ribbon and pull it through the tulle. Pull tight.
- Repeat with as many strips of tulle as it takes.
That's how I made my tutu last year. I've got an old diagram that I drew and uploaded last year for a friend. If anyone wants to see it just shout and I'll put it on. To be honest though it's easier to just buy one from the fabric stall in town if you're not bothered about the satisfaction of making it yourself
