With this sort of post and the Cunningham one it sounds to me like some of our fans would be happy for us to beat a weakened Saints side, to me that would be a hollow victory as we want all their star names to be on the pitch to see how far we have progressed.
Its like Salford beating them tonight, you can`t read too much into that result given the amount of players that Saints had out for one reason or another, it would be the same if we beat them with some of their key players missing.
To end the Saints hoodoo once and for all we need to beat a strong Saints side as anything else will always be remembered as a hollow victory where we beat a weakened Saints side especially by the Saints fans.

I would love to beat Saints with them having a full strength team and us scoring 50 unanswered points.
With our record I will take anything.
For the last five years I have heard 'if you don't win this year with our wekened team' every year.
A win is a win I will be delighted if we win next week.

That's complete rubbish.
We don't have to prove anything to anyone until the play-offs come around. Until then, it's two points each by hook or by crook and no-one really cares about the opposition.
By the same token, if we get to Wembley after beating St Judes' under-12s, so be it and no-one will be celebrating any less. |

Any victory against a Saints side is a good victory IMO...
Injuries are part and parcel of professional R.L. we can only play whats in front of us... |

I cant believe that you are turning your noses up at playing a 'weaker' saints side.
Even with a few key players out Saints will still be difficult to beat. I do feel that once we have beaten them once and got over this poor run then next time we play we will have more of a chance even if they stick out a all star squad
