Brilliant player, though can't see him coming to SL as there's bound to be other NRL teams in need of a classy full back. A more likely option would be the Fish who were linked with earlier in the season.

It's just part of the rebrand this. Were actually going to be called the Salford All Blacks from 2014. British players are the ones we will have a quota for in our all star Kiwi line up.

Very much doubt it will happen, Locke is a class fullback and I believe Tomkins would be played in the halves if he does end up going to Auckland.

I heard he has agreed, maybe not signed as yet, a new 2 yr contract with the Warriors & could play at 6 next season.

NZ Warriors will be worth the premier sports subscription alone with Locke, Johnson, Hurrell, Vatavei and Tomkins in their back line.

As for the above story. More lazy journalism from the Evening News. What ever happened to factual reporting from the local media. If you want to read about random speculation you can buy the Sun. I am not interested in who an ill informed reporter thinks we could sign. The Evening News would be better advised to promote our games and current players more. More column inches to local clubs and also promoting local amateur clubs would only take up a few columns a week. Friday s should include a few sentences about Eccles and Folly Lane. Instead we get rumours that you could hear in the pub at last orders.

More chance of signing John Locke from Lost, just because Salford have money to burn doesn't mean class players are going to come over from the NRL. I think the Doctor thinks he's playing fantasy football sometimes.

Signing Locke is a rumour from on here. My second point was referring to bids for Tomkins and SBW, transfers that are never going to happen, which is why the Doc is living in a dream world.

He denied any approach Sonny Bill Williams in the media last week (whether that's true or not, I don't know). The approach for Tomkins was probably more of a statement of intent.

People seem to believe every single rumour they read about every player we're linked with and strangely seem to be attributing the rumours to Koukash rather than whoever is reporting them.

A high profile NZW player may well leave the club for SL when Tomkins' deal is done. He won't be going to Salford though!
