| I can just not see Myler chatting to someone in the car park about his contract unless he is really stupid.
From what my lad saw of him on Friday he said should go now.

| How can you be sure Myler was telling the truth he s been saying earlier in season he didnt know what he was doing & he knew all along he was going.
He has had his head filled with great things with Offiah touting him round to all the top S/L clubs looking for the highest bidder. What young lad at his age wouldnt take whats being offered, he probably thinks his lottery numbers have come up.
Said he knows what the likes of Malc etc are earning & they offered him less, excuse me, but havnt Malc etc given best part of their playing career to Salford NOT A SEASON & A BIT!! He needs to get over himself & learn a bit more of his trade before he acheives what Malc & other loyal players have done.
I dont only blame Offiah, think Tony Smith has more than put his two pennyworth in this saga, but as been said Myler & Turner were crap in the reserves on Friday night looked as though both couldnt be bothered, but got to earn their wages so just turned up in the shirt on the park.

i can swear on my grandads ashes that i had this convo with myler ..
i dont now if itz true or not, he may of just been saying this as he was not happy at being lefted out of the team on friday because he did look pi@@ed off (dont now why tho cos he was getting in a bmw 635d 09 plate worth abowt 50,000 proply his signing on fee from warrington ) but all i can is he did sound pretty sure where his mind was set... i also assume all this will come out once he moves to warrington..
and if you think i would swear on my grandads ashes who died through cancer 2 years ago and lie you must not have any feelings what so ever

| Myler has gone, and it is a done deal, will be announced within the next few weeks, the club have got more than i even thought they would get for him. Suppose its a good thing if he thinks that the grass is greener and all that, let him go, he is not salfords problem anymore.
As someone has already said he says he knows what malc earns , well ritchie when you put the service in that malc has then you can argue for more money, would rather we spend the cap on hard working players like malc than some kid who will probably turn out like another kevin penny, but if clubs wanna spend money like they are, and take the risks then let them.

| Did he also tell you about the new car he picked this week at a well known BMW dealership and also if you get to talk to him before Saturday ask him who he will be sharing a box with at the challenge cup final on Saturday, a clue he has a lot of money and lives in Cheshire.
Roll on September the 1st and lets move on we've had players in the past that have wanted to leave and the club has survived.

| Done deal or not, all I can say say is Warrington can have him, the boy couldn't tackle his way out of a paper bag. He leaves a huge hole in defence whenever he plays.

| I watched most of the reserve game on friday and i agree with you guys he was poor, but if he knows he is going then he isnt playing for a place in the first team, it takes away a lot of incentive. That said, Salford pay his salary for now at least and he should realise this and give 100% for his remaining time. Also even when playing for the reserves he will be looked up to and owes it to his team mates to give his all as they are doing, if Myler isnt bothered then dont play him in the reserves either.

Its about time they told us what is going on at the club no wonder fans are getting fed up with supporting a club that does not seem to care for its players and fans. just seems to be about how much money they can get out of us. I am glad this is my last season ticket i am getting. I remember when this was a club that cared about a family unity with its supporter but it a totally lost it prowese with me. it hurts me really as i used to love this club. But the last three years now there only intrested in money not there up and coming youngsters.'"

| Watching Sam Tomkins last night I realised just how far Richie is behind in his development.
Tomkins was only a reserve when Richie played in the England game against France, can you see that happening now.
I have enjoyed watching Myler in NL1 and also at the beginning of the season, good luck to him as I really do think he will need it at Warrington.
The futures bright the futures Stefan

I don't think there's any rule breaking involved if Club A has given Club B permission to court the player.

| Its a toss up between Mylergate and the Stadium issue as to which is the most tedious story. However i know which one is most important to Salford RLFC and its future and its not the bloke who will be plying his trade in primrose and blue next year..leave him in the reserves until he has moved on he is not part of our future.

| I have no doubt that in the 30+ yrs i`ve watched Salford Myler is the best young prospect i have seen. If and it`s a small if it seems we keep him he would be the man to build a team around. I saw the Reserves Friday and whilst he didnt have a great game some of the touches he had showed the quality he has.
If he goes I for one will be sad but remain confident that JW and the board will use the money wisely, after all the money from our crowds aint gonna increase our Cap for next year !
Then we can look to build a team around the likes of Steff & Adamson and address our obvious lack of speed and guile in the backs.
As for the other one, Turner, he had a mare !!! Slightly off topic but what sort of fee can we expect for him anyone any idea ?

| When the contract was offered Offiah was forever in the papers talking about Myler. The club said they offered him a record contract. If they didn't then you'd think that this would have come out then wouldn't you. Maybe Myler has realised that he and Offiah have made him public enemy number one and is trying to deflect. That's my theory. Word of advice to him though. Play out of your skin til your last game and you would have had our respect (like Hodgy). Unfortunately he stopped letting his rugby do the talking and allowed his agent to instead. No sympathy and no respect from me I'm afraid.

| Myler has failed to appreciate the club and fans that took a chance when Widnes folded.
He was offered a reasonable deal, if he wasn't Offiah would have been in the papers saying that the offer was an insult.
He has bags of potential, but shouldn't be the top earner, the contract should have bonuses built into to that would have enabled him to become the top earner.
Bored by this silly boy and his publicity seeking agent. There must be a reality show Offiah hasn't pimped himself for out there somewhere. .

Tomkins is playing behind a much better pack in a much better side that is currently going reasonably well.
It's not really surprising he looks better than Myler ATM.

| Well, young Richie is going to have a lot of pressure put on him. He's a cocky young thing so hopefully he will fulfill his potential like Andy Greg or Shaun Edwards.
I was talking to The Penrith Panthers coach a few years ago in Oz and we got talking about Pommie players that were successful playing in The NRL: and there were some very good Poms, Stevo, Mal Reilly, Ellery Hanley and Bill Ashurst etc: But he said the guy that stood out by a country mile was Shaun Edwards.
He said that at the time there were some real biff merchants (some older hardcases and big names) around at that time, and he recalled Edwards' debut saying that some of these guys were out to "do" this young Pom, but he went out, played well, took hit after hit (some legal some not) and still played everyone else off the park.
I fear Richie may get some similar "attention" in the early fixtures, and I just hope he come s out of it as well as Shaun Edwards did.
It's the old "tall Poppy syndrome".

If as stated by wire fans in the know, that we’ve got over a quarter of a million for the lad, then roll on next season. Stef has slotted straight into the 7 position anyway so I don’t know why we’re bothered.Players come players go.
The ‘Posioned Chalice’ for me and I’m sure many other Reds is the stadium issue,as this was the reason we got the franchise last year. The ‘Iconic’ proposed stadium got us the nod,not young lads with potential who’ve only just started their career.
