As I mentioned in an earlier post the best swap deal offer from one of the eight interested clubs. Why should the club let a player they have invested 4 years in leave on the cheap simply because he's been tapped up?

Whether its France or not, he's still playing on a platform against the elite in RL. Also more appearances and international caps suggests he would have more experience than both Lineham and Sneyd. As mentioned before, wingers are ten-a-penny whereas quality half-backs aren't hence why Hull paid us £125k for Sneyd after he had a great half a season at Castleford.

Lets just be clear I am not suggesting we should be commanding anything near the level that Marwan mentioned yesterday.

What makes you think Saints are going to pay a fee for anyone? I don't think it's us that is causing Theo's transfer request. I wouldn't be surprised if it were Warrington or Leeds.

Fages has told Salford he wants a move to St Helens and nowhere else. He wants to cone at the end of the season so he has 1 year learning with Luke Walsh. If Salford dont release him he as 2 options. 1.buy out his contract which would be around 50k which Saints would just give him or 2. Saints have told him they will wait for him to see out his contract and use Charnock for another 12 month. Saints cant lose really Fages will be a St Helens RL player by 2017.
