Like a few other people, I thought the process was really easy. I went down to the ground last night, told reception I was interested in buying season tickets and they called Andrew Bentham down. I purchased two tickets in the corporate section of west stand & Andrew took me up to the seats to show me the ones which were available.

I honestly can't wait for next year, it'll be great going to the ground knowing we'll be able to compete with some of the best teams in the league.

Andrew is really helpful and totally committed to the role he has.
There are still problems with the promotional emails,though,when it offers you the opportunity to amend your details. I tried to and it linked me to some other guys profile and address.
Calls to the club rang out for 5 minutes and would probably be ringing out now !
This ain't his fault but the Doctor needs to be aware that ,for the club to succeed ,it needs to get everything right and his troops,though doubtless committed,are still making basic errors.
Only as good as the weakest link in the chain.
For the avoidance of doubt,this is intended to be constructive criticism to sharpen up the back office.

Just had a text off a mate, weve sold over 2000 season tickets up to date, which is 3 times more than what we had last season. Good effort so far.

If we've tripled our season ticket sales that is a brilliant effort from all involved. I don't know what the take up is nearer to the season kicking off but you'd think that we could get up to the 3000 mark.

Might be worth waiting until after the world cup (where hopefully lots of Salford players will show what talent we have playing next year) and then say offer a ticket for the first 5 games at say £50 to get folks how have seen the WC down to the ground for the start of the season, then it is up to the team to convert them into full time fans.

Personally, I'd rather wait and see what the figure is come the start of the season and what the attendances are, rather than indulging in speculation about sales.

Think the most important figure is the total sales after Christmas, you'd hope that the retail and shop situation is sorted by then and that the club makes on final push for more tickets to be sold on the back of a much improved choice of merchandise.

Yes, in the middle of an argument with someone else on Twitter. When it was posted on Facebook, someone who works at the stadium posted a reply that seemed to cast doubt on it. The simple answer is "who knows".

Effectively Season Tickets went on sale Sept 6th .
when last in the offices ( 10 days ago ) the figure I saw was not that one, but still impressive. surprised me..

Outright buys - those who have bought via the direct Debit arrangement + VIP & Hospitality renewals , so I doubt the Stadium Co. would be party to the complete picture.
The Dr did an honest thing last season & published warts & all crowd figures the crowd V Catalan was 2,200 which would be an indicator of our base line support.
To state we have nearly that figure in Season Ticket sales a month in is unreservedly a good news story. isn't it?
We have nearly 4 weeks of the early bird prices still to go + those who may opt to buy for xmas gifts , then two months post Xmas as we ramp up publicity for the Feb Start.

I went to the stadium yesterday to renew my season ticket, I said to the lad on the desk I believe there have been 2000 season tickets sold up to now. He said that was rubbish that there has only been 900 sold to date & what Marwan quoted on Twitter wasn't right ???????????? So there you go, who's right & who's wrong.

But those people work for the stadium management company not the club they wouldn't be able to see the total figure, so in theory are we calling our own chairman a liar?

The 2000 figure included hospitality boxes and tickets bought by large sponsors.

Another thing talentless spotter it just goes to show how obsessed you are by checking someone's twitter to see if it fits in with my posts? What you don't realise is I take a lot of what I say in here from Mates on facebook and twitter so it's likely my post on here are going to correspond with theirs because I'm taking their material in the first place.

I don't care if the cons in Strangeways are buying them it's the number that matters for revenue and ultimately bums on seats. Think it's pretty obvious that the Doc is a genuine business man who can makes figures look good for most things.

All I really care about is come the start of next season if there is a real sense that there are more people at the game and that the atmosphere in the South stand improves which I have a feeling will be high on the Docs/clubs list of things to fix.

What the Doc has just said on Twitter re Sonny Bill is so true. His signing would be big for RL as a whole - and special exemptions should be sought for any club willing to take the risk.
