London Irish play at the Madejski home of Premier League side Reading FC so obviously do not have priority and they are a team that play a sport running at same time as the football season. Sale have no conditions on their entry into the Premiership as they are a premiership team, Only newly promoted sides have to prove this and meet certain criteria as was the case with London Welsh. Irish (Reading) and Saracens (Watford) have both played at grounds the same time as Premier League football side and have not been denied entry

Ah, fair enough - I bow to superior knowledge of the other code. In any case, I hear that Sale's game had already been moved from the Friday night to accommodate the Salford game in the first instance so cant really ask them to move again, that would be even worse than Salford having to play at Leigh.

Tell you what Salford, if you're planning a protest on Saturday, I'll support it, as you folks have had the rug pulled from underneath your feet and you shouldn't have to put with it.

I think its completely disgusting that Sky have opted to change the date of your fixture against Wakefield at the drop of a hat.

Its certainly not the clubs fault nor Sales Sharks either. A similar situation nearly occured earlier in the year between Wigan and Saints with Sky demanding that a fixture be played on a certain date when the DW stadium wasn't available due to their operational rules.

If there is any protest against Sky I will be fully supporting it as they are simply taking the P£55.

It's the Salford 10k on Sunday too, not sure if that'll affect the possibility of a Sunday switch.

I suppose it depends on the route the 10k will take?

Apologies for use of language. Whilst I accept Sky bank roll the game they in my view are doing nothing but immense harm at the same time.

Would be superb to see anyone who decides not to attend the first team game this weekend down at Barton for the reserves play off game on Friday. 7pm kick off. Free parking as well.

Pretty poor even by SKY's standards to move this at the last minute.

Can't see how on earth the final round of matches isn't rigidly forced into a same day same time kick off for all teams to allow parity and fairness to all.

I can understand why they can't move the Wigan V Saints game and for that matter Sales but I also fail to see how even SKY has the power to force a team to abandon home advantage and seek a different venue. What would happen if Salford simply said no? I doubt they will as I see a risk of really upsetting the apple cart and a potential witch hunt when it comes to license application time.

Season ticket holder but If at Leigh count me out, Rugby league is a play thing for sky, they don't give a dam. The rugby football league should be stepping in, can you not see the damage you are doing to our club its already on its knees one push & we will gone.

Ironically, I believe Sale have also been looking at LSV, in case bad weather in Winter causes them to move any of their Premiership/European games to a venue with under-pitch heating!

surely the RFL shouldn't be paying a teams wages when they run out of money in June because they can't afford the team on the park, Sky and the RFL biggest load of 5h1t ever, common sense move Wigan game to Saturday no Premier League football this weekend. Only problem we are hostages to Sky and they treat Salford so badly because we won't change our name to Manchester, most seasons we average twice a year on TV, so disadvantaged from most clubs who get the Video ref more than we do, (but even then they get decisions against us wrong)now the final irony, if we refuse Sky and play on the Friday i bet the RFL would deduct all our points and remove our franchise. Meanwhile the team above can just carry on and will have nothing more done to them, and as we beat Wakefield and Bradford get an unexpected win, we will put them in the play-offs, Irony we sell to survive they didn't have too.
