Nah, standing as near to the halfway line every time for me. Gives you much better perspective on forward passes etc. Only problem with this is it is sometimes difficult to see if a ball's been grounded properly from so far away.
Always preferred to stand/sit behind the goals at OT though. Not sure why this is but have hated it anytime I've had to sit in North or South stand.

| i love the kc it has great atmosphere but i prefer a stadium to have 1 stand for standing so basically the people who want to stand and sing go in that stand and the others who like to take there familes and sit down can go in the others. at times at the kc you have parts that stand and sing and others who dont in the east stand so it dosent fully maximise the atmosphere that could be generated. id like you lot to have a bowl shaped stadium like the kc but with 1 stand along the pitch for standing like halliwell jones with the rest all seating, also have the corners filled thats the only peoplem with halliwell jones. and do have the ffunding for the stadium.

| See at OT sat in the Stretford end 3 from the front, so I like to see games from behind the sticks, not allowed to swop with a mate anymore who sits right behind the nets at OT in the stretty due to me trying to save every shot

| I drove over Barton bridge today and there was 1 jcb type vehicle with one guy who looked like he was removing all the scrub as he drove along. It seems that work has started if somewhat small scale

That's pre-tender, as in not yet tendered for, not 'Pretender' as in trying to be something that it's not (note - posted by a Widnes fan, can anyone spot the irony here?)

Technically it's two schemes. One of which is at the pre-tender stage (the stadium build) and one of which the tender has been awarded and will go on site in the next fortnight (the ground remediation, infrastructure and utilities).

| So basicailly they are divving up who is doing what in relation to which company brings the crains, who brings the concrete and who brings the brick? The people who are in charge of clearing the area and leveling it out will start in the next 2 week or so as it already been decided who is doing that?

According to the first tender, the winners of the first contract should have been notified late last year. The post below from a few pages back suggests that is indeed the case (anyone fancy phone the company to ask?)

The 6 month contract for the land remediation work to start March/April has allegedly been awarded to a local company from Irlam. Being sceptical (After several false dawns) I did a quick google search to check a land remediation company existed in Irlam and found a firm by the name of W Maher & Sons Ltd.

I've also been told by the same guy that he knows someone 'in the know' at Bovis (BBC Media City Contractors)... and he apparently said they will be favourites to win the contract from Peel/SCC to start building in September.'"

| From what I have been told the work and building at Media City is a head of Schedule, so this is a good indicator of how Peel will sort out the Stadium.

| i have the opposite feeling mate, that they know the stadium will be built, they must know the rfl want a manchester team, they are putting massive work into the manchester community in schools etc spreading the game. The only aspect we are letting ourselves down in is the playing side. Are we going with youth because we know we'll have a franchise anyway? Only time will tell but that is my opinion.
