| Logan Tomkins was 1st choice Hooker when Sheens came back for the Qualifiers - with Lee off the bench , Hood only got a sniff when Lee had to move to Stand Off .
so without prejudice to Hood who I quite liked , Hood was only 3rd choice under the new set-up , and they are having to spend wisely for the new squad .
Watson talks about two further additions in talks .
they preferred the loan player..

| Very true middleman, I've just always rated hood going forward and thought we'd unearthed a gem when we gave him another chance.
Always preferred him over Tomkins, maybe an attitude thing the reason he left Leeds????
As has been said leave it too the coaching staff, just hope we have another hooker lined up if this is the case.

| Cant see how letting these 2 go will free up that much cap space.Darrell Griffin was on a big contract so with his leaving maybe thats eased a few salary cap worries.Would much prefer we kept Hood who turned in some good performances last year and seemed to have a knack of giving us a lot of go forward when he came on.

Brilliant mantra, should be on all club branded products
As for Hood he looked better than Tomkins, I'd not be that worried if Menzies left but Hood for me is good now but will improve over the next couple of years.

| Who knows what Sheens is thinking. He's obviously got a hooker in mind if they're prepared to off-load Hood. I was under the impression we wasn't using the full cap.? Well Robbie Farrah's not been snapped up yet. We can all dream eh.

| With ref to MR R Farrah, it was stated that the tigers were happy to pay a rather large amount of his salary just to get rid of the books.
If that is the case, maybe MR Sheens could pull this out of the bag while he is / was in Aus. And has given Robbie permission to sort out his stuff in Aus before comoing over, we will have to wait n see.
Trust in Tim.

Whatever the altercation was it didn't stop Sheens selecting Farah in his latter games of his reign as the Roo's coach, i think Farah featured often which speaks volumes especially sharing game time behind the legendary cameron smith which is rare as smith plays 80 minutes frequently.
Anyway i can't see this happening but i think Sheens must obviously be searching for a hooker.Just keep away from Sackville st Tim.

| Struggling for space on the salary cap, so let two of the cheapest go? Doesn't make sense, whereas D.Griffin does.

| We desperately need a worldy hooker. I personally would ship out Lee as hes bang average and keep Hood. Use everything we have to get Farrah and use Hood as backup. I would rather sign Farrah and not sign anothr single player!

| We're checking down the back of the sofa for spare change at present , that isn't going to net us Robbie Farah etc and I think we up to our Non Fed limit anyway ?
If we're in the market for a interchange hooker who is available ?

And I suspect he will be excellent.
Credit TS with closely watching the dressing room dynamics
No idea whether it's true but he would be a good skipper.
Commitment never in doubt and a far better player than some think

| Tomkins was released back to the Pies at the end of the season.
I personally would've let Lee go and freed up his cap.

| Mary mother of God!! The fact Tommy Lee is even still at the club is a miracle let alone captain material is soooooooooo bad. He would have been one of the first I shipped out. If I was to pick a skipper it would be Dobson, no questions asked. Please God can we get a decent Hooker and let it not be Tomkins!

| Tommy Lee is VERY average if you compare the likes of the following names. The hooking role now is one of the key disc's in the spine. Look at all the successful teams in world rugby all have class hookers. Tomkins was our first choice and Wigans third. If we want to be top Eight material then Lee isn't the man its THAT important of a role today. He falls behind Aiton, Burrow, micky mac, powell, Roby, Clarke Dwyer, Haughton, Even Henderson, Pellisier, Milner, Mcshane and possibly White. Even Leigh have a decent hooker.Tommy is average who lacks creativity IMO I know some names have now moved on i'm simply going of last season.

| Re TL. It' s not always your best talent that makes your best club captain.
I would guess TS IW may nominate a group of senior players.
Lastly, don't be too surprised to see Tomkins back.

| Same conversation referring to earlier and Sheens said Tomkins wouldn't be retained, I would therefore be surprised if he was back anytime soon. Lee might be average in comparison to Roby, Clark Aiton etc but he's a workhorse and we're a noticeably worse team without him at 9. His defensive work cannot be overlooked.

Totally agree.
I wasn't TL's biggest fan when he joined but I have to hold my hand up and say I was wrong. He's been great for us, and he offers workrate, decent hands, a great kicking game, experience, and a unifying personality in the dressing room.

| What are kyd said.
Think at the back end of the season his kicking game was exemplary. He's the type of grafter who plays with pride that the club needs.
From what I gather he's the leading choice for the captains armband and best choice for me.
