Did you see the big error Ste Myler made on Sunday against Worcester? He tried an angled attacking kick that went no more than 3ft high and landed straight in the hands of an opposing player who ran, offloaded and a try was conceeded!
From what I witnessed of Ste Myler yesterday if he's considered International quality it doesn't say much for Rugby Union!

| I've been following DG's career since he left us and from what I've read he's started to hit the potential we saw here. I think BBM is right about him not getting back to the club soon enough when an offer had been made, I'm sure he'd jump at the chance of having another crack over here...

| The best overseas player we put absolutely no faith in.
Oh well, it was nice to meet his dad in Perpignan that fateful day.

| I would love to see Gower and Adamson in the 2nd row, think that would be a brilliant combination and as dynamic as i've seen in god knows how many years.
Seeing as we have just lost to brilliant youngsters time the club got us back onside and did something proactive and brought back DG.

| Do you think the fans liked Gower because he was young and didn't come with a reputation? It's just that historically the majority of our overseas players always seem to take the brunt of our supporters frustrations when things aren't going well.

Yes, think that was part of it, & yes, true what you say, that the overseas players come with great expectations & reputations from the fans, & the fans are very impatient to let them settle into the lifestyle as well as the new team regime but also think David Gower had a lot more to offer Salford. With another years maturity think he could do a good job for us 2nd time around.
With who's reported to have been released from the club, think with the financial constraints he wouldn't possibly cost the club mega bucks, other than that, could Danny Sculthorpe do a job for us, dont think Wakefield want him in their plans & the fans dont want him at Cas, with his offloads, could he fit in at Salford?

I think from the way this site is noted both by the club and local press that everyone concerned is aware that Gower is a free agent.
Was it Mcrae who released him? if so you'd find it highly unlikely that he would take him back as that that would be seen as an admission he got it wrong (which many at the time and still do think).

| I'd have him back tomorrow. Thought it was a very poor decision to let him go last time and at 23/24 years of age he's in the age bracket we need to be looking at. If he does come back to Solly what's the chances of him bringing Gareth Ellis over with him?!

Didnt we release him because he left us hanging for too long before he made a decition?.
We have resigned playes before Mcavoy, Naylor why not now?
A comment from the club would be nice in the MEN, Ill even write it for them
Salford City Reds have dismissed rumours that they are about to resign fans favourite David Gower, Steve Simms said " we have our fingers in a lot of pies at the moment but David who did well the 1st time with us will not be returning.
Insert a picture of Craig Stapleton
There you go, job done.

| Gower wins NSW Cup MVP
Friday, 25th September 2009
Balmain Ryde’s David Gower has taken out the NSW Cup Most Valuable Player award at the New South Wales Rugby League annual presentation dinner tonight.
2009 has been an exceptional year for Gower who, in July, was selected in the NSW Residents team and won the Apprentice of the Year at the Central & Northern Sydney Regional Training Awards night.
In September he made his NRL debut for the Wests Tigers in their round 26 victory over the Bulldogs and he is also highly regarded by Wests Tigers and Kangaroos coach Tim Sheens.
On Sunday Gower will take to Leichhardt Oval for the Tigers when they play the North Sydney Bears in the 2009 NSW Cup Preliminary Final. Gower has been inspirational for the Tigers in the final series and he says a premiership with Tigers would cap off a terrific year.

“To be named NSW Cup player of the year is a huge honour because there is some prestigious talent in this competition,” Gower said.
“All the accolades in the world don’t compare to a Premiership though.
“To win one with all my mates at the Tigers would be a dream come true because we have worked so hard for it.”
Gower beat out a host of prestigious talent including Hep Cahill (Storm), Samu Wara (North Sydney), Danny Williams (Bankstown City Bulls) and Ben McFadgean (Windsor).
they just beat norths & will play before next weeks NRL Grand final

| Well done David Gower
Would really love to see him back at Salford & obviously from the write up, he has done himself proud.
Wish the club would give him another chance, put his heart & soul into every game he played for us.
