The sin binnings were spot on. Stapo was about three weeks late and cleaned the kicker out.

Impressed with Salford last night. If you had played like that all season it would be a play off place you would be looking forward to. Tackling top class by both teams.

It was a proper game of rugby league. Salford's expansive game almost paid off. It took a mighty defensive effort by Rovers to repel them but that was the type of game needed prior to our attack at the semis. Ratchford was very impressive and looks certain England material if he continues to progress in this way. A really enjoyable night, thanks to both teams.

Totally agree a real quality game that both teams will certainly know they have been when they wake up this morning the defences from both teams were spot on and in ratchford we have a real star in the making

it made me laugh that richie myler was in the reserves. shaun mcrae must now know he is going.

I think it's quite interesting to see how together the team seem to be since Myler got dropped - makes you wonder just how destabilising all the Myler hysteria was.

Pretty good performance last night, just one or two fewer errors and we could well have won it - but I think you have to give credit to HKR's superb scrambling defence - so quick in closing anything down. Certainly gives me some optimism for next season if we can just spend the Myler money wisely.

The rovers sinbinning was very very unjust, but I didn't see the salford late tackle, was too busy following where the kick went. The ref acted on the advice of his touchjudge, but the ref was very whistle happy

A hugely entertaining game last night. HKRs defence was awesome as we had enough field position and ball to have scored more points but dropped balls and great defence kept us out. We did a very good impression of the Harlem Globtrotters at times which got the crowd going. The players reaction after Fitzs tackle on Colborn showed how much we were "up for it" which was good to see. All in all best of luck to HKR in the play offs and as stated somewhere else on these boards if we spend the Myler money wisely we may just surprise a few more teams next season.

Stapo's was a definite sinbinning as GT says and I feel the ref tried to even it up with the Rovers one...he was fractionally late but if there hadn't already been one 5 minutes earlier I think he'd have got away with it.

I think the ref had a decent game (apart from the Fitzy knock-on near the end when it went backwards 10 metres!!) and it was actually good to see a ref using his TJ's for input for once.

A much better performance from Salford than we've seen for a long while, better than last week when we won, and when we put our minds to it we ARE capable of playing some decent rugby...who's kidnapped Sean McRae and/or his gameplans???

Would people agree with me in saying that Myler and Turner shouldn't play against Bradford or Leeds regardless of whether they are fit or not now?

We've coped without them and I really don't see the point in bringing back two players into the side who are on their way out when we have other players who want to prove themselves and will be here next year. I might have felt a bit differently if they'd been with us for a bit longer but I'm really not bothered about seeing them in a Salford shirt again to be honest.

Enjoyed my trip to the Willows last night, thought it was a tight game in a proper rugby league ground with a good atmosphere. Good luck with the rest of the season.

Hopefully Jack Spencer and Lewis Palfrey will be in the first team squad for the last two games this season.

Spot on - what's the point of us keeping them fit for someone else? Much better to invest our coaching time and effort with players who want to play for Salford!

Great game last night, well done Salford we played with real pride, with a bit of luck we might have snatched the result.
Well done to all the HKR fan who made the trip.

It was one of the few occasions in my life when I've left the Willows after a defeat (and I've done that a few times!) feeling quite upbeat.

From 1 to 17 everybody did their bit and there were 17 candidates for the Salford Man of the Match Award.

If only every performance had been the same ..............

Thought the sin binninng for Rovers was harsh, seen Stapo offence be a pen before.

Ref didn't use his TJs he ignored them, he was clueless, giving pens about 2 tackles later than the Rovers had amazing defesive play, great to see Salford play off the cuff Rugby.

Cheers for that. Its nice not to hear the crap other fans spout on about crowd size and poop ground especially when those fans maybe should not throw stones.

And cheeky charlie, the problem is that all too often we have stuck to a game plan that isn't working. It seems players like Stefan Ratchford have decided to stick it and play a bit of rugby and we are coming good. Still a way to go but newly promoted teams in years gone buy would take the number of points we have so far this season so bring on next year.

Thought salford were brilliant friday, they gave everything they had as a team but unfortunately fell short. It was a great effort well done red men.

What cost us was individuals making wrong decitions/silly errors @ crutial times, sometimes the ball just lands in the wrong persons hands they just dont have enough in them to get the right answer.

Mr Leahy made some strang decisions. I remember HKR player kicking, our player turning his back, the ball hitting him and the tackle count being wiped back to 1. I also think indiscipline is killing us. Too many cheap penalties are giving teams easy yards, then again this has been happening since Tamati's time as coach.

Good entertaining game on Friday and I wish kr all the best in the playoffs
